Never again park is nothing but MUD. Old park needs to be updated. Staff rude. Like I said never again.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Close enough to New Orleans to drive, yet far enough away to be out of the madness of the big city. Nice, quiet park. Clean facilities. Friendly, helpful staff. They showed us the easiest way to the French Quarter and made recommendations of where and where not to go, complete with brochures and maps. Will definitely stay again if in area.
This park is easy to access from I-10 or I-12, and the owners is pretty nice and helpful. However, the park is quite dated and has LOTS of permanent residents. It also has a small section with mobile homes. I think there are better options, although it is okay for an overnight.
Friendly & helpful staff clean facilities large pull thru sites a/c laundry room. some mud with the rain but not bad. Quiet
Very nice park, very quite, can fish on property, 3 gators live in lake, no swimming allowed ( wonder why? Lol) Did a great swamp boat tour that the office booked. Pick of gator jumping was from that. Would come here again with the family.
Arrived on Saturday afternoon; and the office is not open after noon Saturday.. They leave your information in an envelope on the office bulletin board. I was given a concrete FHU pull-thru site (17). It had a nice concrete patio with a picnic table and grassy area. The site was plenty big enough for my 42' 5th wheel, but I did have to unhook for parking room. Bathrooms & Laundry were nice and clean. They have a lake for fishing and the park is close to stores & restaurants. I used my dish while here and the wi-fi was a little slow, but worked. Park was easy to maneuver around in. Would stay again for sure.
We had a nice pull-thru site with some grass for our “yard”. Many of the sites had permanent renters. The area we were in was set aside for people like us, traveling through, but for us 2+ week stop for Mardi Gras. The staff and owner were very friendly and helpful. Maybe a bit over priced for the amenities. The area around the RV Park seemed a little depressed too. Maybe still recovering from Katrina. But it was a short drive to New Orleans and shopping. I would not stay here again. Instead I would look to find a different RV park to try something new, if I were to return to that area. BTW, I-10 heading west is horrible. Almost lost a filling, never mind my RV!
Excellent camp ground. Office was closed on Sunday but there were easy directions for selecting an available site. Clean facilities
This is a good park for full-timers and travelers. Not a lot of frills, but, good level lots with ample space for comfort. The interior roads are narrow but decently maintained. There are permanent (manufactured homes) as well as long term RVs. They are well maintained and do not detract from the overall experience. The laundry is only open during the day and the park does not maintain a supply of quarters. The owner is actively involved in the day to day operations, is very nice, and enjoys a good conversation. New Orleans is only 20 minutes away. With that, I'd stay here again. The only neative I have is one of the office staff is not trained or inclined to a positive customer experience. I was quoted $34 per night during the reservation process only to find it was $40 with my GS discount. When I asked about the difference, she just shook her head no and said you were not quoted that. You probably called the XX RV park. They quote $34. I'm a full timer and keep a spreadsheet with notes about every stop (reservation) and I would never have called the "RV park" she named.
This is a about 20 miles east of New Orleans and worth driving for. Very helpful and friendly folks at check in. Great local food and nice faculties. Rates are much more reasonable.
Nice park, friendly staff, a little wet because of the rains, kept up very nicely. Close to the interstate and would stay there again
