The entry is a bit rugged, but no big deal. No shade, but the grounds are well care for, site was level, and young trees tell me there will be shade. The staff is friendly, and the price is great. Great overnight or longer.

Very well maintained campground by managers that are proud of their place. Lawn had just been mowed. A little hum from the freeway that was close by but the upside is it was easy to get in and out.

Nice place. Bathrooms are spotless. Our GPS was short but if you keep following the road. There is a sign telling you where to go. Wifi isn't bad. Not bad leveling. 30.00 for 32 ft motor home.

Very friendly and acommodating staff. Saw their ad sign from the highway and thought we would check it out. Nice creek near by with gazebo and swing near the water. Campground is near the interstate but not a lot of noise. Will definitely be going back for more.

Sites not so level and lots of noise from Interstate. Nice place to relax by river. Staff was extremely kind and helpful.

It's not where RV Parky shows it is on the map. Could not find- had the drive several miles befor we could turn around. Called campsite and found out they were about 10 miles away. It was not the way we were traveling so we went on.

We stayed one night while traveling up I-81. It's a couple mile drive off the interstate on tight frontage road, then their driveway is about a 1/2 mile long with some pretty steep ups and downs - but we made it and there were plenty other big rigs in there too. The campground itself is nothing fancy - but clean and flat gravel pads. There's a beautiful creek that runs around it and the mountain views are beautiful. The people that run it were very nice too.

A very nice little spot literally right off I-81, so I suppose if you are a light sleeper you might have a problem. We slept like logs. Nice level site, idyllic creek, and friendly owners. Gravel road going in and out has some steep spots, but really no problem at all. Going in From I-81 south the GPS doesn't take you far enough in Lee highway, so just go another 1/4 mile and look for the small RV sign.

Read the other reviews and needed a stopover for the night so thought this would be great. Site was fairly level front to rear but slopped quit a bit left to right. Gravel only wide enough for the 5th wheel leaving us stepping out in the mud/grass. Sewer was at front of the site on the entire row i was on, 6ft from road. I have 2 dumps and three hoses. No way to reach it without moving and using as a dump station while blocking the road so not really full hook up. WIFI not working and according to managment, they spent $2k and cant get it to work. I agree with the grounds being well kept and picturesque.

| Very convenient campground

Access from I-81 was easy, no problems with the driveways in our Class A towing our car. Pullthrough sites for transients, level enough and spcious, we had no problems. Hookups were convenient . Facilitys are clean and very well groomed. We will use this campground regularly in our travels.

We stayed here for three weeks. We made the reservation several months in advance and had a great rate. The camp host is a nice lady but the technology here is non existent. You must call to make the reservation; but you get no confirmation via email. (Make sure if you are staying longer reserve a site) So hope and pray months out they have your reservation still. This campground is not for the faint of heart. It is very, very STEEP Coming into the campground, so take your time. We were guided to a spot #74 and when we leveled the coach our back wheels came up. I asked them months prior to make sure we had a level site. The first night we could ve rolled from the front of the coach to the back that s how off level we were. We put all kinds of jack-pads down to help the situation. The next morning i had to ask the camp-host to move us. There is a huge overflow parking places that have full hook ups. She had stated that there was some kind of wedding soon and all those spots were reserved except our site. The GAMES the camp host play are unbelievable. On both sides of us, many a day there were more than 5 sites open. Had she told me months ago i could reserved a site, i would have. There is a huge GARBAGE issue. There are nearly 100 sites here and garbage only gets picked up once a week. So garbage is Hanging all over the garbage can days before the ONE and only pick up date on Friday. There is beers in the area which makes an easy meal for them. Not good. Sites are not level and there is a huge slopping issues with most of them, so come prepared with your wood or level jack pads. There are many full timers here that work in the area. There is not much to do around the camp or the local exit. There is a lot of fast food restaurants and gas stations to get gas or diesel. There is a beautiful stream down below and they have many a weddings here. There is a huge grassy area south side of the park. The birds just love it here, catching worms all day long. The park is full of Robins (birds) and other birds. We choose this campground due to being centrally located, for us to hike many state parks int he local area. We are full time so staying at state parks was expensive for us @ $47.00 a night and most state parks do not allow 40ft RV. There are 3 RV parks here and the one that is across I77/81 is scary to say the least. Also there is a KOA, but people have said its just okay. Wytheville is about 30 minutes away and has wonderful farmers market to shop on Saturdays. There is a Amish store called the The Dutch Pantry a must stop. Please if you have time go the the State Park called Hungry Mother , It has the most amazing hiking, swimming and boating. There is a campground and looks great, just wish we could fit in. The road to the campground is not designed for large RV and there is a sign that says, no commercial trucks over 35ft. The owners here work very hard cutting grass all day long. But i must say, there is no work being done on taking care of the RV sites to level them out or the garbage issue. You have cable but don t get too excited as it really does not work. Long term has better rates.

| Nose Up Please

By user-5554610... on 2019-08-09.

Nice park with reasonable access off of I-81. FHU utilities worked well. Area is hilly and so are the sites. Staff seemed to be confused when I stopped as soon as our toad was clear of the road. I explained that the site sloped down more as you go further in and Class C Fords are already nose down. I still had to use step 3 on the ramps to level. If parks that have sites sloped downhill for drainage, it would be nice if they put some utilities on both sides of a few sites so the down hill E450 s can park nose up and avoid building the erector sets to level.
