To find a available spot was a bit tricky; on all the site was a note, at first we thought because it was occupied, but there were also notes to let people know from what date it would'nt be available anymore! So read before you think every site is occupied! It was windy that day and because of the trees and other green, it was fine to be here instead of at the shore (Kirk). We found it very spacious, a kind of meadow like. Unfortunate the restrooms were closed and the 'dixies' were very dirty!
A beautiful spot. Ocean view from site 6. A few first come first serve sites but most available through reservation. A short walk to sand dollar beach. Free access with proof of camping. Advertised as having water but it is not available for filling rv tanks. Come with plenty of water as bathroom sinks don't function either. One of few campgrounds in area that allow bigger rigs. Many max out at 31' and we are 32' so we were happy to find this spot. Camp hosts are very friendly and helpful. This is national forest but campground maintenance is contracted out to another company which makes it close to impossible to call and talk with someone ahead of visit.
