Reviews for Point of Rocks Campground

A couple of miles north of Prescott, this RV park is right next to a lake and state park (day use only). Although a little rough and worn in some ways, this campground has paths down to the lake which is spectacular in itself. The bathroom/shower area was clean and warm (which was nice on a cool morning.) WiFi is limited to the office area. There are two sections to the campground, an upper and a lower. We were in the upper area, away from overlooking the highway, so it was very peaceful. We stayed in a 25' motorhome with a 30 amp hookup. I'd definitely stay here again.

Very friendly, beautiful landscaping around the sites, hiking trails available. The manager went out of his way to set me up over the phone after business hours. Most spaces are back-in-only.

Stayed a full week in our 32' TT. Paid $210 + Tax FHU. The Wi-Fi was pretty good and got a few channels on the TV antenna. Water pressure was a little low at our site. Showers were clean and nice. Water pressure there was good. Laundry is 9am to 7pm. Nice and clean, but only 4 washers and dryers. Only allowed to use 2 machines at a time. Kind of small for such a large park. This RV park could be one of the best anywhere around with a little attention. I do not think they have put down gravel in quite a while. Weekend was very busy with people coming and going continuously and the dust just fogged. If you are down wind, everything gets a good coat of dust. Come to think, everything does anyway. Sites could use a little sprucing up by adding some new gravel and leveling up. An investment of chip and tar or asphalt would make this the a destination everyone would want to come to.

| Very pretty place

Set in the rocks it is a comfortable place to be. Good restrooms and showers, level sites, shade and a little privacy. WiFi wasn't great for us but it was for others. With good Sams, $35 for full hookup

Nice warm and clean showers! Would be nice to have WiFi at the site. $30.57 + tax for back in.

We stayed one night here when passing through town. Park was nice and quiet with plenty of trees for shade. Fun hiking on the rocks around the campground and a nice walk down to the lake. Our site had sewer hookup but it was a little hidden by bushes and rocks. I would stay here again.

| Point of Rocks!

By user-5788977... on 2017-10-23.

I moved to Prescott Arizona towing my fifth wheel after I was recruited by Yavapai Regional Medical Center. I found the Point of Rocks was by far the cleanest facility, had the best customer service, and the friendliest staff. Prices were very reasonable. I stayed for 3 months and could not have had a better experience.

| Good sites, good bath house, good wifi

Stayed one night on our way west. The wifi is quite good, even at the far end of the campground. Decent rate with Good Sam discount. Shady, well-spaced sites. Full hook-ups. Friendly staff. Showers were small but clean, warm, and with good pressure. Convenient to Prescott, good base for a day-trip to Jerome.

| Adventure awaits!

This campground embodies almost that a visitor would want: full hookup, trails, lake, semi-shady sites, wildlife, beautiful views, and clean too. Located near town and each space is unique. Only a few pull thru sites, and perfect for travel trailers.

| We keep coming back!

Wife and I love this place! Staff is extremely friendly and the views of Watson Lake are pretty amazing. Perfect place for family and friends and kept clean everytime we have been there (over 5 times now). We will keep coming back everytime we are in the Prescott area.

Very clean restrooms, showers and laundry facilities. Staff very nice. Sites roomy (36 ft 3 slide outs). The surroundings are beautiful and we took a nice short hike right from the campground to Watson Lake. We absolutely loved it. The only bummer is you can’t have outdoor wood fires. Full hook ups

| What a gem.

Gravel and dirt but beautiful. Full hook ups. Park is spotless. Laundry, showers and restooms were spotless as well. Hiking trails. The town was wonderful. Have already recommended this to friends. Will definitely stay here again and will ask for one of the spaces with the rock wall in the back. Absolutely gorgeous. My rig 32 foot 5th wheel 3 slides.

Park is tucked into the granite bluffs next to a lake. Many sites back up to the bluff, most are level with shade. Very scenic and quiet park. Owners are very friendly and helpful. OTA tv was good, T-Mobil lte ok. Close to Prescott. About 1 hour drive to Sedona. Good hiking trails from the park. Would stay here whenever we visit Prescott.

This was our first time in Prescott. What a great campground. You feel like you're out in the wilderness but you're within 15 minutes of Historic Prescott. Huge granite boulders and trees everywhere. Hiking paths leading out of the campground. 10 minute walk to the lake. Clean campground. Friendly staff. We were so happy with Prescott and this campground that we made reservations for 7 nights the week before Thanksgiving. Can't wait to come back. We live in SoCal so this will definitely be a regular place for us.

We had a great here. Lots to do in the area. Hiking, road bikes, kyaking, fishing or just sting outside enjoying weather. One issue there is standing water north of the property which is a breading ground for mosquitos. I must have at leat 30 bites no exaggeration. They need to do something about the stanging water.

| Nice- Great Location

Older but nicely situated CG nested in the Granite Dells and Watson Lake area. Dirt roads, pretty dusty due to people not adhering to the 5 mile speed limit. Most sites appeared level and gravel/dirt and well treed for shade. Ungraded electrical hook-ups. Excellent WIFI throughout CG. Most sites have nice views of the valley or the granite rocks (Dells). The major attraction of POR RV Park is its proximity to a whole array of hiking options as the park has a trail connecting to the Watson Lake recreation park. Easy access to the rec area for any number of outdoor activities, birding, kayaking, etc. Front desk staff were all friendly and accommodating. Nice laundry at decent price.

This RV park is awesome... Right next to Watson Lake...hiking, kayaking, pet friendly. Shaded most of the sites. Bathrooms & showers well maintained daily. Very nice camp office and friendly staff. Handicap bathrooms and shower at main office building. Laundry available. Have been here several times over the last 10 years and they continue to keep in good condition and upgrading. Wifi and availability for many different size travelers and motor coaches. Great place to stay when visiting the Prescott area.
