Really enjoyed camping here. Restrooms were clean only compliant was the showers. One big room with shower heads and no curtains. They offered horse riding for only $25.

They could take care of the restrooms and vent them better. Liked it was a good friend just need the bathrooms taken care of. Did not see DNR and that's going around.

Enjoyed the campground and the horse back riding. The showers were one big open room and no curtains, bathrooms were just okay. I would go back.

| Beautiful but not at all level

I have been here for a week and a half split between two trailer sites. I love the state park and the vibe here is great. The biggest complaint, which is a major drawback, is that NONE of the spots are level. The website says "slight grade" on a lot of sites for the gravel pad, but it's a massive grade. This is impossible if you have a decent size rig. Ok, not impossible, but the jack is fully extended even with a drop leg jack.

Dunes campground spacious but a bit on the primitive side. We needed an extension to plug in due to the location of the electric box.

| Best toboggan run in the Midwest.

Long long toboggan run. It was very fun. And it was a long long way back to carry a 60 lb toboggan. Campground is decent. They have some pull throughs for big rigs.

| Very nice large state park

We had an excellent experience at Pokagon. We were early in the season and camped mid-week so it was not busy. The restrooms/showers were sufficient and clean. The site was large and reasonably separated from neighbors. There is no WiFi provided, but the cell service was solid (Verizon). I work remotely and was able to sustain VPN connection while in the woods - best possible scenario! There is a nice variety of natural settings and amenities at this park - a gem of the Indiana system. We would definitely return.

Terrific state park. A perfect place to have friends and relatives visit and have fun. Camping or going to the beach.

| Nice -- when not busy!

Very nice, large park. 300+ sites. Most not particularly level. Large sites in lightly wooded area. Sites are pretty close together, minimal privacy. Here's the deal-breaker for us: only 2 dump stations for several hundred campers. These stations are buried right in among campsites and you must drive clear through CG to gain access. I can only imagine the blocked roads and traffic jams when busy. Also, there are only 2 water fill pipes in the park. One is near side of road before you get to check-in station, and the other one is in loop 3. There is no parking available when filling fresh water tank. Just a terrible arrangement! This is a nice park, it is a shame that is not set up better. IMO, campground is only suitable when nearly empty.

| It s ok. Busy and limited access.

The areas between campsites are, what looks like, mown preventing new sprouts of trees and bushes from coming up. There are nice, mature oaks but without any seedlings waiting in the wings, the canopy will dwindle without some better management. There are a couple campsite groupings that each have, what looks like, one access road. So, if you come early, you can listen to a line of trucks and motorhomes waiting to get into their campsite; up until 8pm. Loud until 10pm. We were there on a weekend so maybe the weekdays are better. They do not recognize any National Park cards nor military discount. I was informed rudely that this was a state park .
