We enjoyed spending a week here while seeing the sights. Owners very friendly and helpful. Nice pull through, level sites. There is train noise, but that's a given when traveling west (and we love trains)! Only a few miles to Fort Laramie, and a few miles farther is Oregon Trail Ruts and Register Cliff.

Mostly grass sites, not much between but most have shade. Pull through for big units. Verizon good at 2,3 bars. Free WiFi which works ok but too slow for streaming. Bathhouse cleanamd neat. Woman's showers just redone, men's are fine. $15 a night with passport America. Only 6 miles from Ft. larimie. Food and gas just 10-15 miles away.

Did not honor Passport America discount. Charged full rate with the explanation of "We don't do those anymore". 1/2 the sites taken up by long term oil workers. WiFi was extremely weak as was Verizon cell service. Pull thru sites needed leveling, some very uneven. Can fit any size rig. Coal Trains blowing their whistles every 30 minutes almost 24 hrs a day. No dog run but lots of grass. Garden produce for sale in office. Small archeological museum nearby. Nice staff.

Friendly folks. Great for a stay over. Trains are a bit much.

| Loud train whistles, why?

Very nice owners, wish them the best. But, I would be interested to learn just why the frequent trains have to wait to be alongside the park to blow their whistles (2 long, 1 short, 1 long) day or night. The logic escapes me as I am uneducated regarding train protocol. Out in the middle of nowhere, no distant whistles heard in either direction. Near Ft Laramie but otherwise an unsat experience.
