Not fancy, but very serene
By user-5629925... on 2017-10-23.
This had full hookups, green grass, shade trees and gravel. Although I didn't dare look in the bathrooms, due to the last review (and we have our own facilities) this space was very adequate. Plenty of room for the dog to play. Near a school, but evenings are very quiet. I thought the price was right for one night traveling thru Iowa.

Good Overnight
By user-5821464... on 2017-10-23.
We have used this park several times over the last 10 years. It is much better maintained than it used to be but there is still lots of room for improvement. The park has gravel streets and campsites. Most are level and pull thru with full hookups. The bathrooms are now functional but still in poor condition. They definitely need an update. Honor system pay $20/ night.

County fairground park
By user-5821464... on 2017-10-23.
This park is part of the county fairground. It is not staffed and payments are honor system. It has full hookups and pull thrus. Park is poorly maintained. Restrooms and showers are beyond filthy. Mowing is infrequent. In rainy weather, the park becomes a mud hole. On a favorable note, the park has many large shade trees.

Fine for the night.

It was dark when we arrived and dark when we left, so we can really give an accurate review. The water was shut off because it is the middle of March. The restrooms were closed for the same reason. We pulled into one of several pull through spots. The park was basically empty. The power was on so we plugged in. All in all, the park was fine for an overnight rest. The sites are grassy/gravel. Sites have 20, 30, and 50 amp electric, water, and sewer. Fee is $20 for full hookup and $12 for tents per night on the honor system.

Really wet and unkept might be ok if it hadn't rained in a year or so.

It's the County Fairgrounds campground, very nice for an overnight. Good shade, level spots. Right in the middle of Purple Martin territory. Water, electric and sewer for only $20 a night!
