This is a fabulous campground. The sites are large and long and level. Many sites back up or have views of the river. Trees provide shade as well as beautiful settings for the sites. We stayed one night (wish it could have been more) in a 40' motorhome with a tow car in a pull-through site and had plenty of room.
Nice space between sites. Well maintained and clean. Our spot had a playground that our girls enjoyed. Pretty river and creek on both sides. We had a nasty battle with some ants while there - most aggressive we’ve seen. Great staff.
Army Corps of Engineers campground right on the Alabama River. Great views from almost every site. Quiet, pretty, and a nice distance off the main path, but not obnoxiously so. Well worth the trip.
Like most Corp of Engineer's parks, this is clean and well kept. Plenty of grassy areas and the sites are spaced nicely apart. Water and 30 and 50 amp at every site. Drive into each site and parking pad is concrete. Wide road through the park is asphalt. No low over hanging tree branches. Bath house clean but not climate controlled. Non water front site $22 with 50% discount with senior pass.
