This is a privately run RV park just inside the state park. It's the cheapest you will find this close to DC. It's clean, quiet and is close to everything you could need. My only complaint is the management are real sticklers for the rules.
Spent 2 nights here and enjoyed it. Paved roads and lots, had a pull through site, all paved with picnic table. Bath house was spotless and well maintained. Very friendly staff. Right off 95 and 35 miles from DC. Will stay again if I'm up that way. 5 stars all the way.
Nice place, very well kept and bathrooms are spotless. Wi-Fi works good and the poolwasa nice size. Not a very big site and lots of highway noise.
This campground has just about everything we needed short of cable TV but Our antenna at least gets CBS and ABC. Showers are excellent and comfortable and almost all the places are pull-through though short if you have a rig bigger than about 35 feet. Very nice and helpful management and lovely forest everywhere. Nice level paved spots. We extended our stay because the location was so convenient
This place has possibility, but needs some work. The bad: The roads are quite uneven. Poison ivy was all over our site. They charge $5/day per kid for no extra amenities. (Never had that charge before!). No trails as this isn’t technically a part of the national park (it’s privately run). Picnic tables really need to be replaced. The dump station upon exit is out of service, so you’ll need to turn around to use the dump site on entrance. The good: sites were large even though not level. Park was quiet at night.
Great pull through sites, very clean bath, shower room. Nice pool. Excellent staff, really helpful. Near D.C. but we stopped on our way to Harper's Ferry. We will make this a destination as it is VERY close to Manassas Battlefield.
Have stayed here 3 times for varying lengths of time. Near I-95 and convenient to Quantico MCB and Manassas battlefield. Staff is always great and the facilities are clean and we'll maintained.
Arrived close to dinner time. Nice people to check in with. No real camp store. In a wooded area but the lots are more like a parking lot. Camp was clean and well maintained. Bathrooms were clean and modern. Very quiet at night. Close to lots of restaurants and grocery stores. Not far off of I-95. Little expensive but okay for a night.
Nice, quiet overnight stay. Close to shops and food. Lady in office was nice and helpful. Clean bathrooms and showers.
Stayed one night on our way south. Arrived after dark, found our site okay, but it was too small for our 39 foot 5th wheel rig and our RV was in the road, also there was no room to park my truck or extra car. (Note, in the morning I got a call from the office saying I can't park on an empty site (not like it was full or anything!) and that they have overflow parking for our situation). I think they needed to put me in a site that was big enough for my rig! Hook-ups were fine, although some maintenance is needed on the spigot and light in the power station. The sites are tarred and come with picnic table and a fire ring. It was fairly level, but I noticed that most sites were not that level. The site are real close to each other, and in the woods. It s located a couple miles from I-95. Because the sites were too small and it was way over priced, I would not stay again.
Though the spots are close to each other, the park is quiet and other campers quiet and respectful. Will definitely come again if we pass through this way again.
For it's location close to Washington DC this is a really nice park. Clean, well kept, quiet, wooded. The grounds were nicely groomed and the bathroom facilities were clean. Sites are close too each other but otherwise good. We would stay again if we went this way.
Don t count on WiFi. Staff friendly and helpful
