Because we wanted to visit Detroit, we were looking for a spot nearby. This parks allows alcohol and you can tell that by the noise one group made. Also the entrance was hard to find.
| Super large Park!
Stayed here in October 2015 with a 40' motorhome with no toad and it was a great spot. Tons of walking room and open green space with about 4 small lakes for your enjoyment. Sites are large with a picnic table and a fire pit. There are quite few perms but they have their own area and it also looks as though people use their RV's for a summer rresidence.But again, people care about appearances and it works. Mapquest takes you right in.
| Location, Location, Location
It's all about which spot you get. The spots near the bathhouse are where the middle to older aged folks camp. It is family oriented. That end of the park is peaceful and nice. The other end is full of people drinking alcohol. I literally watched three campsites drink nonstop for the entire weekend because we were there for the first time and didn't know to avoid that end. I took a walk up to the bathhouse and thought I had stepped into a different park. We will return, but obviously pick a different spot.
