| Very Nice!

The sites are asphalt with tables and firepits. There are restrooms and showers that look from the outside to be well maintained. There is a hotel with a restaurant a short distance away. Nice playground, miniature golf, and miniature train for the kiddos. Golf and train are closed for the winter. I wouldn't stay here in a tent or pop up because there are bears around. Haven't seen any but there are signs.

| Top of the mountain

Beautiful area on top of Rich MountaIn, right on the Talimena National Scenic Byway. Sites are blacktop with picnic tables on gravel pads. Two sites close then space then two close and so on. All back in off one road. Checkin at lodge which has no RV parking. Activities most days but they did not tell us that at checkin so missed out. Schedule on bathhouse which we don t normally use. Water pressure high 95 psi when connected so regulator needed although varied to low of 20psi! Water and power connections at end of pad so may need extensions.

We stayed here for 4 nights. Nice campground and sites as stated in previous reviews. Be aware that you have to go up the mountain to get here. We have a 35 ft motorhome towing a 15 ft trailer. Not being aware of the roads we joined hwy 1 about half way through and did not think we were going to make it. We will be taking hwy 270 down but not looking forward to that. Very steep and windy, same as hwy 88 but only 1 1/2 miles instead of 15 to the bottom. That is why only 3 stars.
