Very clean, quiet campground. A number of seasonal campers, but their sites are immaculate. A left turn out of the campground entrance puts you into the Blue Ridge Parkway. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that it lacks a swimming pool and caters to an older crowd. However, if you're using as a base camp or just want to relax, you couldn't do better.
Nicely landscaped, very clean park. Mostly shaded sites. Appear to be a lot of seasonal folks but all of the sites are neat and well kept. 500 feet to the Parkway. There's a small lake with a platform that you can fish from but no swimming, no pool. Bath houses are a little outdated but kept immaculate. Park is well patrolled. We were lucky - there was an rv on the site we reserved, but the manager found us an empty seasonal site whose owner wasn't due to arrive until after July 4 and was better than the first one. Quiet at night. Great base camp for trips up and down the Parkway
