Beautiful wooded area
By user-5830440... on 2017-10-23.
We loved this park so much we are heading back again for two weeks in July. It's rustic and the sites are not level and they are not all in an even row, but you're tucked in the tries and it amazingly beautiful. We have a class A but in this park you share the space with large RVs small trailers and tents, makes for a great diverse fun group of people. The camp hosts were the best ever and the restaurant although only open a few days a week was 5 star.

One night stay
By user-5883745... on 2017-10-23.
This is a rustic park. We overnighted, we couldn't use our outdoor space because of the amount of Yellowjackets in our site. But other than that we felt safe-I wouldn't plan a longer than an night here.

Beautiful Campground

Sadly we were only here one night, but this park is one to return to explore for much longer than the few daylight hours that we had. Large sites, tall trees, a babbling brook that is easy to get into. across and exlpore the area. Wish we had more time to enjoy this campground!

Sub par
By user-5892448... on 2017-10-23.
We noticed right off evrrything looks run down. The camp store was open but door was locked nobody was home. Camp host wouldnt even exit his vamp to talk to us. The main focus here seams to be the railroad park. Its full of old rail road cars and cabooses.

The campground is outside of Castle Crags State Parks. Mixed sites of tents and RV etc. there are only two creek side RV spots, but plenty of access to the creek. Clean. Camp hosts are extremely personable. We visited early spring. No reservations. We made online reservations in the park after looking at all available spots. We stayed in site 28 RV full hook ups with a view of the creek. We hiked a closed, unused logging road to the face of the Crags. Priceless. Small, quaint and noting short of exactly what "We" were looking for.

Mountain green and fun trains

My family and I stayed here for one night. My boys loved all the trains and we had a good meal at the restaurant. I would highly recommend for clean air and quiet especially at the time we stayed. If you want to stay connect via your phone or iPad, very spotty service so don't have your heart set on it. Just remember......you are camping :)

Quiet stop
By user-5295017... on 2019-08-09.
I wish we had more time here. It was beautiful. A quiet creek nearby. Plenty of space, clean, and quiet. Nothing too fancy about it, but we could have enjoyed more time here.
