Reviews for Rain Forest Resort Village-Lakeside RV Campground

| Could be great, but isn't

By user-5885491... on 2017-10-23.

Mud and grass pads with power and water and not much else. No picnic tables, no fire pits, no cell service or wifi, no trash cans except the one in the bathroom which was overflowing. Bathrooms were dirty and full of spiders. Great access to the lake and the largest spruce tree in the world, walking distance to a nice lodge. Traveled to many campsites over two weeks and this was the most expensive and least desireable that we saw.

| Tired, needs attention

Narrow tight sites, rutted, (buy some gravel people, it rains here all the time) lots of power pedestals marked out of order. Stayed one night. Planned to stay more but no reason to. No Verizon cell service, no tv. Resort gift shop was nice though. Staff friendly.

| Very cool spot

We stumbled upon this place thanks to RV Parky, and it seems to be a really great place. As noted, the spots are narrow, but unlike a lot of parks, there is a lot of common area - a picnic shelter, areas to walk along the lake and watch the sun go down, and a great little restaurant on site - the Salmon House. The scenery of the lake more than make up for the rustic facilities and narrow spaces. It is far enough from the highway that it is super quiet. I would love to come back here for a longer stay some time. (Only a four-star rating since there is no dump station, and since restroom/showers are so rustic)

| Nice but narrow sites and roads in park.

| Peaceful and beautiful

Green grass spots , right next to clear, quiet lake. No sewer but there's a nice bathroom with quarter run showers on the property.

| Barely ok

The campground setting was beautiful, being lakeside. Bathrooms are old, which is ok with us, but dirty, which is not ok with us! The girl at the front desk was tude and very unhelpful. We asked if she had any info on the rain forest, she didn't know what a rain forest is. Thankful for a local resident who gave us some good info in hiking in the forest to a beautiful waterfall. Campground has so much potential if it was managed properly!
