Always bring the family camping here because of the location and the fact that it is really fun for the kids. Highly recommend you come camp here.

Check-in was a breeze. Staff super friendly. Sites were spacious, level and very clean. The bathhouses were a bit far away, but they were so clean. We loved the splash water park it had. We played miniature golf (pricey at $5.00 a person). Very nice park and a gem in Riverside.

| Okay facilities but crowded.

By user-5939606... on 2017-10-23.

Parkland is nice, bathrooms and showers are mediocre, and the place is super crowded full of loud children running around by themselves at all hours. Expect lines for the bathroom and kids darting in front of you on scooters.

We stayed here a couple weeks ago in our fifth wheel. There are some great spaces available with pull-through options and long sites that work just fine for two vehicles and a rig. Many spots have grass and great shade with surrounding trees, and even if you end up in a dirt site, there were community grass areas right across from the site we were in. Laundry facility is token-only, and tokens are available from the gate attendant or the park store, and laundry is very reasonable. Soap and dryer sheets were also available in a small vending machine. We didn't use the restrooms or showers, but can speak to the laundry room always being clean when we used it, and we did several batches of laundry. There is a great splash pad that is on through the end of September that our kids thoroughly enjoyed, as well as two other playgrounds ("red" and "yellow"). We only made it to the red one, and it was in great shape, clean, well-maintained, and had plenty of soft ground cover to help keep rowdy kids safe. There is also a small rock climbing area for kids, and a miniature golf course with equipment available at a reasonable price from the store. I believe the course was 18 holes. Disc golf is also available. The store had basic necessities, and while it was priced slightly higher than a grocery store, we didn't feel it was a huge rip-off for basic conveniences. Walking paths are everywhere, and very dog-friendly and kid-friendly. It seemed like people picked up after their pets, and we felt sure the frequent dog-bag stations helped encourage that. Stays are limited to 14 days in a one-month period, but that is easily remedied by moving to the other side of the park for the next two weeks if you wanted to take advantage of that option. There are two lakes, fishing is available, and there are plenty ducks to feed. Keep an eye out at night for skunks, there were frequent striped creatures wandering the park during nighttime hours. There are also ground squirrels, lots of birds and raptors, lizards, and dozens of cottontail bunnies to view on walks. We really enjoyed out stay and we be back for another visit very soon.

| Nice County Park

By user-6230413... on 2017-10-23.

Stayed on both sides of the park. Good and bad for both. If you are afraid of dirt stay in cottonwood, if you want more rustic stay Lakeside. Some spots on Lakeside don't have sewer so bing the blue boy! Nice change of pace to hang with the tent and tiny trailer folks (we are the biggest rig by far at 43ft but fit just fine). Cottonwood is nice but some spots are all dirt save for the pad. Either side is fine by me, but i have missed my washer machine for the last two weeks! That's the only thing that would sway me to cottonwood.

| Decent stay

Nice park, but it is dirty!!! Stay away from the lakeside campground. The lakeside campground is all dirt. Do yourself a favor and make reservations in cotonwood. All the amenities of the park are great, and that will be the only reason for our return. But do yourself a favor and learn from our mistake, stay out of the ghetto "lakeside"

| Excellent park

Stayed here for three days in the Cottonwood side right before Thanksgiving. Nice concrete pads with grass surrounding. Great dog walking path around the whole facility. WiFi in this section. Nice mini golf course and kids play area. Access from the 60 freeway is easier than fromm the east off the 91 and Mission Ave. Would definitely stay here again.

Great park, friendly staff. Very laid back and friendly. Nice lake to feed the ducks, a nature park about a mile walk. Miniature golf course. Nice lil convenience store that is not a total rip off.

| Nice, clean, friendly

We will definitely be doing this park again. Easy to get into space, lots of room. Lake is always stocked. Just make sure you have your California fishing license before you get here. It is a requirement. Then you purchase a fishing ticket when you get here. Wild pigs on premises, weasels, skunks and coyotes.

We were so fortunate to find this park. Well maintained county park with beautiful lawns for our pups. Just across the river is a wonderful walking and biking path. When sitting in our lawn chairs, a beautiful view of Mt Rubidiux. Only shortfall, first come first served as they take no advance reservations over the phone or by e-mail. Kerwin & Margaret

The park is very clean and well manicured. Restrooms are very clean as well. However, they no longer have wifi in the park and they have a huge skunk population, so lock up at night if you are near the trash cans.

| Nice

Nice county park with lake, walking paths and mini-golf. Sites have tables and fire pits. No wifi but satellite works in open areas. Verizon service ok. Stayed in older Lakeside area with dirt roads and dirt sites. Would stay here again.

| Beautiful county park

By user-5208737... on 2018-05-17.

Very neat and clean park, spacious and open. We stayed 10 days in Lakeside park. Gravel sites here, standing water if it rains. Nice shade trees, older restroom. Cottonwood is newer and concrete. Park usually sold out on weekends so book ahead. You can select site online.

| Beautiful Park!!!

We love Rancho Jurupa. Very clean, friendly staff, restrooms are so-so, great location. Make sure you book ahead, they fill up fast. Cottonwood area is really nice.

| Recommending staying in the more expensive spot

We stayed in the dirt area and its to expensIce for what you get... The showers and restrooms weren t clean and the coin machine didn t work..... the other spots are 7$ more and we think worth it... nice showers (with a code) and grass and WiFi

| We stayed in both loops

By user-5835292... on 2019-08-09. Stayed 2018-10-10 to 2018-10-23

We stayed for one week in the Cottonwood loop and it was really nice. We had plenty of space but not much privacy. Full hookups with a long paved site (244). Laundry room was nice and had 5 washers and 5 dryers. Didn't use the showers and bathrooms. We stayed one week in the Lakeview loop (site 51 water and electric). It was not paved and was pretty loud on the weekend. We had much more shade in this site because of large trees, but the view was not as nice. We did not use the showers or bathrooms and they didn't smell too nice walking by them. We would recommend staying in the Cottonwood loop if you can because you get a nice paved site and road with full hookups and it doesn't cost that much more per night.

| We absolutely love this park!

What a hidden gem in a location surrounded by plenty to do without as much traffic as most of Los Angeles. Easy in and out of Cottonwood campground; site #244 was very spacious with FHUs (50amp) on the driver's side when you pull through, but you must either back out or drive through dirt/grass and around other sites to get out. In other words, this is a uniquely designed pull-through OR back-in site. Several are set up that way, when you camp on the outer edges of the campground, but sites in the middle are traditional pull-through sites. All sites could easily accommodate our 34ft 5th Wheel or any large RV with room to park 2 vehicles (see pix). It was beautiful, clean, quiet, modern bath/laundry facilities, open yet private, surrounded by hiking/biking/equestrian trails, open fields, large lakes, playgrounds, disc golf, and active wildlife. Note: skunks, coyotes, and wild boars (herd of 30) are not shy of humans, so be aware of your surroundings at all times, although they're mostly active and visible from dusk to dawn. The wifi and cable was basically obsolete, but our cellphone service was excellent, so we used our hotspot and we received tons of over the air antenna channels on TV. Highly recommend!

| Great Little Getaway

By user-5537215... on 2019-08-09. Stayed 2019-06-21 to 2019-06-24

We stayed in the Lakeview Campground (Site #6). Plenty of shade around, but this spot does get the afternoon sun. Our biggest negative was the public showers and bathrooms were not well maintained, and pretty dirty. You also have to purchase shower coins. (50cents for 3 minutes.) As dirty as everything looked, we chose to avoid using them. More so after my kids caught a couple having some of their own fun in one if the stalls. BTW, no refund for unused coins. Mini golf was fun. Splash pad was a little crowded on the weekend, but still fun. Disc golf needed a little maintenance, but the kids still had fun. Fishing looked fun, but we don't have CA licenses, so we didn't end up doing that. Overall, good spot.

| Loud EARLY Wednesday morning party .

By user-unknown on 2019-08-09.

Nice paved spot and full hookups in the middle of the city. Convenient to city stuff. Beware of ant infestations. Place was fine and generally quite until...... 6:00 a.m. on a Wednesday morning. LOUD music. First I thought it was a car that would eventually drive away. No. It was some tent campers having an early morning party. Sounded like a Friday night at a nightclub. It was concert loud and I m not exaggerating. It was truly awful. I don t care to come back and I do not recommend it.

| Do not camp on older side

By user-6468509... on 2019-08-09.

I've been here twice. Once we camped on the older dirt side and it was horrible, loud, dusty. The 2nd time I wanted to try the newer paved side. What a night and day difference.nice grass, quieter and will definitely stay on that side again. Has a nice splash pad for kids. But gets very busy on weekends because it's open to the public and the area brings not the best of people to it.
