Great staff!!
By user-2669003 on 2017-10-23.
The staff is friendly and helpful. They make you feel welcome. They provide a guide to your site and offer assistance.
The sites are gravel and the trees are newly planted so it will be awhile before they provide useful shade.

Ugh

I usually like KOA but..... The staff is friendly. Guided us to our site. Dirt roads. Gravel spots. Right outside your rv door is dirt, weeds and ants. Picnic tables are old wood and splintered. 65 channels on cable tv. However the picture quality was right out of the 1970's. Did not use the bathroom. Park is near interstate 80. Easy to find but you can hear traffic. Too bad as this could be a very nice park.

Nicest campground in Rawlins!
By user-5619954... on 2017-10-23.
Very nice office, laundry, bath facilities, and playground. Squeaky clean bathrooms. Staff very friendly and helpful. Level gravel pull-thru sites. No shaded or green grassy sites; but the Rawlins area is very dry with few trees. Easy access to I-80. Great campground for a stopover. We camp in a 37-ft fifth wheel.

I sometimes wonder if other reviewers stayed at the same place. This was a good place to stay while traveling. I was hesitant to stay here after reading the "Ugh" review. It would even be okay if needing to stay longer. Sites are gravel and level. Nice staff with escort to site. Clean CG and clean laundry. There's a concrete patio with table with a small wooden fence between sites. Easy access from I-80. Minimal noise when outside and none inside the RV. Playground, splash park (sprinkler), and mini golf for the grandson. Plenty of cable channels with quality picture, and good WiFi. It's not the "resort" feel of a lot of places, but it worked fine for us. We would stay here again. We camped in a MH.

Nice staff, very friendly people, campground easy in and out but very outdated, the sites are very uneven, a lot of construction people living there, could be nice with a little work to level sites.

The couple who run the Rawlins KOA are very welcoming and helpful. They explain that the water presure is strong and you are welcome to wash your RV.
They will provide transportation into town if needed. There is a good selection of RV supplies.
It is conveniently near I-80. Expect wind in this open area of Wyoming.

This is an RV park that has it s own niche. It s on a major highway and is easy to get to. Great owners and staff who are friendly and helpful. This was our 4 th visit. We are glad it s there and know it s gravel, no grass but all we need our safe nice parks for overnight stays.

This is the second time we stayed here and it won't be the last. We reserved a spot for the night of the 11th, but we got stuck at a rest stop 70 miles from them, due to a snow storm. The next day the I80 was closed between Rawlins and Laramie so we stopped here. They were actually worried about us, since we didn't make it the night before, even though we did call and let them know. They still held a spot for us and didn't charge us the extra night. Some morons who want to complain about the traffic noise but want to compliment because of the access to I80 just need to get a life. I love this place.

Ugh.

I've never written a negative review on a RV park, but I can't let this KOA off the hook. I have a KOA membership.
Groundskeeper especially not friendly. Could not coax a smile out of him. Workers are burned out I guess, and sick of living in Wyoming.
Info pamphlet they give you is full of threats. They must be used to a lot of low lifes. If you leave dog poop...which you shouldn't of course...10.00 charge. I always try hard to not miss a small pile...I have poms...but geez.
Also claimed you can't run AC and electric water tank on 30 amps, which is ludicrous. I've done it for years. If something blows up, you pay all costs. Just that kind of tone all over the brochure.
Not a KOA to walk your dog, but I don't blame them for that. It's a barebones kind of place and that's okay, I've been in those parks before, but their approach to customers is awful.
On the good side...showers were wonderful.
I had just left another journey KOA, which was a delight to be in.
I'll stay in Rawlins if last resort, as it is for most people I bet. Just don't go in with high expectations.

Clubhouse is well kept. Some grass at your site. Gravelsites are not very level but you can make do. Courteous staff. A fenced in pet area with GRASS was a welcome amenity. This area tends to be windy. Would stay again.

Did a one night here going home from Yellowstone. Park is nice and all pull thru sites. We stayed in site 30. No shade yet as it appears to be fairly new. The sites are gravel with some grass. Did not use any of the facilities other than the Dog area so I can't comment on those.
