This is my family's favorite campground. Recommended!
I’m wondering if I should post this because too many people might read it and want to come making it harder to get in than it already is. This is one of my favorite places for weekend camping. Beautiful trees, nice paved roads, big campsites, friendly staff, awesome lake, nice beach, good restaurant right down the road and for me, not too far from home. Most of the sites only have electric and usually that would annoy me but the beauty and serenity of this place more than makes up for it. The only annoying noise you may hear is a loud boat scooting across the lake now and then. To me, this place and a few others like it are why I bought an RV - to enjoy nature. If you need WiFi, forget it. Cell service is on the ragged edge. Unplug and enjoy being outside. Word of warning - it fills up quickly so reserve early. Same with boat rentals at the marina, book well before your stay.
