Reviews for Red Bay Downtown Self Service RV Park

This is our favorite park in the area. It's one block off the main street of Red Bay and in close proximity to the Post Office and downtown area. They offer 10 FHU sites w/both 50/30 amp service. We stayed here last fall and have been here a week already. The park is primarily concrete because a warehouse was here for years. Dr. Jim Nabors, a local physician, and his family own and maintain the property. Ms. Vicki is his office mgr and is very helpful and accommodating. The primary advantage to us is the reduced amount of dust and it's location. Cost is $20/day or 120 per week.

We were here to take the Tiffin tour and we were able to get a spot just before a storm hit. It's a parking lot with hookups and its on the honor system. Drop the payment into the slot and go on about your business. With in walking distance to Main St.

We stayed a week as we were having work done by outside vendors. This one avoids the muddy mess, dust etc of Camp Red Bay and the others. The only downside is that trees do block the satellite on some of the sites in the middle. However, I prefer trees and their shade which none of the others have. I call ahead and Vickie will reserve a spot if available. Great to work with! Rates are the same as all the rest including Camp Red Bay (Tiffin service center campground). Easy in and out. This isn't a destination park but then none of the rest are either.

Other reviews state the way it is. Just a few blocks to Tiffin visitor's center and the "yellow brick road". Staff easy to work with as your "Tiffin time" schedule evolves. Trees block Sat on some sites. Basically a self service park, but call to make rez - Vicki is very helpful.

Stayed a week for Tiffin warrenty work and Nick Brewer In-Motion satellite install at his shop. Very convienent, clean, and friendly location. Reiterate the comments about no mud or dust. Shade on site was nice but the HUGE pecan trees were shedding pollen and other debris. Trees on properties to the South created Tailgater and In-Motion satellite difficulties that we were warned by Vickie could be a problem at site 6. Vickie and owner's mother and father were absolutely wonderful. Good ol' Southern hospitality. We had a great experience here and would highly recommend this campground. Would definately stay again. More than worth the price.
