PROS: Large lit dry camping lot. CONS: Mostly permanent guests working local petroleum jobs. Poor signage caused confusion about dry camping lot. Unmarked spaces caused confusion about where to park in dry camping lot. Campground website caused confusion buy not describing dry camping lot. No campground office.
I spent one night at Red River Valley Fair Campground in June 2018 in a 39’ fifth wheel. Had I not needed to meet my wife’s flight into Fargo, I would have kept on driving. The website said it is first come, first serve. When I arrived at 1:30 pm, I drove through both sections before finding a two open back-in sites, both with only 30 amp service and no water or sewer connections. The site has a concrete pad and a gravel drive. There is a picnic table. Most of the other RV’s appear to have been here for a long time and most of them are quite old. Unless you really need to be in Fargo, I would recommend looking elsewhere.
From the fairgrounds website: "The Red River Valley Fair Campground welcomes dogs at the campground. There is a $15.00 fee per dog per stay." Okay. Driving on by.
