Reviews for Redcrest Resort

| A gem!

We were going to pass through and ended up staying for 4 nights. This place is a hidden gem. What I loved most about this place is that is a great family run business of 3 generations. You won't find trashy long term trailers here. The have cabins, a nice tent area and spaces for RV's. The wifi didn't work and the TV channels weren't the best....but who needs these things when you're in the redwoods! Our Verizon service was excellent here. I would highly recommend this little gem to anyone!!!

We love this little resort. Very small, cute old cabins and maybe 15 RV spots but being nestled in the trees kept everything cool and peaceful despite hot summer heat. Great staff and some basic fun things to do: hot tub, fire pit, Ping pong, badminton, swings, frisbee -great open space for kids. All in all, a nice break. Convenient breakfast/hamburger joint and gift shops across the street were another good resource. Will be back. Thank you Jeanne for being really welcoming to us!

First of all this is one place - Redcrest Resort - the map shows two. I have no idea why it has such good reviews. It is very small, some cabins behind a gift shop & the RV spaces feel very much like an afterthought in a cramped gravel parking lot. Good luck getting out if it's full, I wouldn't want to try it. The cost is $50 and that's in February. Website lies. No laundry. Checkout 11 am. The receipt says NO REFUNDS DONT ASK which, okay, gives you a clue right there. Staff not overwhelmingly pleasant. In the morning when I went to leave, one of them was quite rude because I was trying to follow their traffic rules. He had to move his golf cart 3 feet, it was terrible for him. Thus I went elsewhere for my tacky souvenir needs. This would have been 1 star but I must say the shower was lovely and the bathroom very clean.

They were completely empty but wouldn't give us the site we requested, assigning us the site next to it They then also tried to slip in a charge of $10 for our 2 babies without telling us - we saw it on the paperwork before we paid. The manager then refused to talk speak to us when we asked (the sales girl helping is was getting instructions over the phone). And their hot tub and WiFi were both not working. They probably thought we had no other option since we had 2 babies and the campsite 2 minutes away were closed for the season. But we left and went to much superior (and cheaper) RV park a 10 minute drive south.
