Found this while looking for a place to stay in northern NM. The campground sits above a beautiful reservoir located 15 miles from the nearest town. At $12, the back-in site was mostly level and the electric, water worked fine. Lots of space between sites. The host was friendly and informative. This place is probably a nice for longer stays if you enjoy fishing and boating. I would stay here again.
The previous reviewer was correct, this place is wonderful. All of the electric sites were taken, but we didn't mind, with solar and generator. The daily rate with our national park senior card was just $6 A day. Traveled north to see "Ghost Ranch", but the highlight of the trip was taking the dirt forest service road up the mountain 13 miles to visit the Benedictine monastery, amazing.
We had a level backin site with no amenities other than a picnic shelter...with generator and solar it doesn't matter. No real access to lake from campground due to bank failure. Numerous pit toilets and two men's and women's bathroom/ shower buildings within short walk. We did not use showers but there is hot water.
