| Nice place to spend a night

Pretty park with more water and electrical hookups for campers than I've ever seen before in other city parks in states we've traveled. You could hook up in so many locations throughout the park so be sure to look around before settling on a spot. It is a little rough around the edges for charging $20/night with water and electric (Texas seems a bit more expensive than neighboring states) but there are decent showers and restrooms. A lot of ferral cats are around and some trash along the stagnant part of the somewhat murky river, but overall a fairly nice place to overnight. Also, no Verizon signal in this town at all (crazy but true!), but there is free, 3-bar wifi you can connect to at this park.
