We needed a place for the night along Hwy 70 and chose this KOA. Not a bad stop, well maintained, friendly staff, fair size pull thru w/ FHU. Rained on us most of the time and the power went out knocking out our 50 amp service but leaving the 30 amp to get by on. I would recommend this CG.
My wife and I stayed in this park for four nights. The staff was helpful and friendly. Our site was a new site indicating improvements are being made. The park was clean and we'll maintained. I was a little worried about road noise but was not bothered at all. AT&T service was good. If in the area again we would stay again.
This KOA is about 100 yards from I-70. We stayed here after Thanksgiving when they were closed, but the owner was still there renting a few sites. During the summer with leaves on the trees I am sure there would not be as much of an issue with road noise, but at the end of November and no foliage, it was loud all night. We had a FHU site so we were able to fill our fresh water tank and dump the grey/black tanks, which for that far north, at that time of the year, is VERY unusual. Most KOA's are conveniently located, this one is a little to convenient for our tastes. We would look for a CG that was open but a little further away from the road noise the next time we are in the area, but if they are the only one, we would stay there again.
