| Okay but tight

Not all Alabama state park campgrounds are created equal. Tightest state or federal campground we’ve seen. One small section for rvs: barely room in our site for a 19-foot trailer and 19-foot truck. Electricity was terrible; our EMS went off so many times one morning we lost count.

Nicest little park close to interstate & near Shrine of the Blessed Sacrament. Very tight for Big Rigs but doable. $25 for 30 amp with water. Dump station near. Pool nice but open to public for fee. Also Cavern tours but we opted not to do.

We went here for our maiden voyage in our 28' class c! The site was nice and we felt safe. Had a little playground that was fun! We went on a 1/2 mile trail and came back with 4 ticks, so make sure you have tweezers or a tick remover! We really wanted to go see the caverns but I couldn't backpack our one year old for a mile and our 2 year old had to be carried part of the 1/2 mile hike! Maybe next time! It was a short ride to the Bham zoo! The gentleman working there helped me back the camper in because I was scared to try! We will go back again for sure! The sites are not level but that didn't bother us for the couple nights we were there!

Happened on this park when looking for an overnight spot. Lovely small park with 13 camp sites up to 40'. Staff very friendly. Has swimming pool, playgrounds, trail and tours of their Caverns. We will be back for longer stay some day.

The sites are pretty bad but its very clean. We had site #10, couldn t use the fire pit or the table. It s a pretty little park but the R.V. sites are not situated good AT ALL.

The good: the park has a great cave to explore and a nice hiking trail and the staff were awesome The not so good: RV spots are small and only 1 has a grill to cook on. the circuit breaker kept tripping and for lack of a better term the park is just tired and worn down. it has a great swimming pool but it stayed overcrowded with preschool kids that are bused in so we couldn't enjoy it sadly.
