Full hook-ups at Pa-Co-Chu-Puk Campground. Pads are large, level, and concrete. No TV reception but able to get a couple of bars of VZ 4g with cell phone booster. Excellent laundry facilities. This is not the most scenic of the CGs at Ridgway, but was quiet, clean, and very pleasant.

We stayed at Pa-Co-Chu-Puk campground for 2 nights in Out 38' motor home with a Jeep Toad. Even mid week, the park was quite full. Reservations well ahead highly recommended. Some sites are shaded, all are pull thrus, full hook up, 30amp, all on level concrete pads, with fire ring and picnic table. They are spaced well away from other sites, so there is privacy. Cell signal was poor to so-so, getting 1x one dot, to one bar 5G or 4bar LTE infrequently. No WiFi. As for the fishing, we were here 2 years ago and the fishing in the river and holding ponds was beyond spectacular. This trip, it was terrible. Not sure if this place now gets much more visitors and fishing pressure, or the ponds are not stocked as often. Saw only 2 people actually catching on the Uncompaghre, and they were with expert guides. This tail water is for technical expert fishing only, requiring the correct fly/midge rig and knowing where the holes are that hold the fish. The ponds hold smaller trout that are used to bait and often skip over flies. READ: if you want to catch big and many, spending big bucks on a guide is the way to go. Ridgeway has a very good fly and guide shop. If you are not that expert of a Fisher person, try the San Miguel in the valley over on the highway to Telluride. Otherwise, the campground is great for nature lovers, bird watchers, those camping with dogs. Great stars at night, nice variety of bird life.

We stayed 7 days and it was a good rest from our traveling in our Itasca Nation. The spaces are level and larger than most. The bathrooms were clean and had good showers. Our stay was after Labor Day and not many people were there. We will stay here each time we are in the area.
