Impression was its a rundown park, a number of old RVs that look permanent. There was somebody in a tent. The sites did not seen clearly marked, they were dirt and grass, not paved or gravel. Not sure where the electric was or numbers. No one answered the phone or allowed a message. Phone message just gave the address. We took a look but did not stay.
We found this place on our roadtrip through the USA on the way to Sequaria National Park/ King's Canyon. We arrived at night. Parc Manager was very friendly and kind. The RV Park is next to the 180. Don't miss the entrance at night! First it is a little bit noisy, but it reduces at night. Some permant visitors. All places with full hockup. Naturally enviroment and a nice playground for the kids. A special thanks to the manager for his kindness!
When we arrived, the office was closed. We could pick our spot ourselves and put the money in an envelope($30, full hook-up, back in). Our spot was fine, with view at a playground. Quiet, with the birds singing. In the early evening we heard the road in the background, but later that quiet down. There was a small stream behind us. It looked like there were some seasonal units. The shower was a whole bathroom, a bit out of date, but otherwise it was fine.
Really friendly staff. We received a welcomes gift. Old but clean shower (2) full hook up on a romatic. Spot close to the little river. To see Kings canyon and Sequoia with a RV over 22 ft. You need to travel hwy 180 and stay here.
Headed to kings canyon and this was a great base camp for the visit. We originally planned to stay for two nights but added an extra primarily due to the the friendly staff. The park is in the process of transitioning from a mobile home to an rv park. It is clear that a lot of progress has occured and staff shared some of the plans for the future. The sites are exceptionally large. Some have shade. It is close to the highway but we could not hear traffic while in the camper. The drive to kings canyon was about 50 miles and it was a short 55 minute drive. While there the main breaker at the campsite failed. The staff immediately attempted to correct the issue and provided a complimentary night stay due to the inconvenience.
We stayed at Riverbend RV Park for 4 nights and can't say enough good things about this RV park. When we checked in we were greeted by the owners, Connie and Jerry, who greeted us with a gift bag of laundry detergent, shampoo, and sweets. Connie also brought over a bag of dog biscuits for our two dogs. We've been traveling for over a year and this was the first RV park to go above and beyond like that. The park is clean, quiet, and grassy for pets. Our site was flat, spacious and the Wi-Fi worked great. We would definitely recommend this park for anyone looking for a great place to stay while visiting Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks.
Large grass sites. All hookups worked as expected. Bathrooms were clean. Person working checkin was very nice. We visited Kings Canyon and Sequoias NP and this served as a good base camp. There was also a nice walking path to the river.
Quiet place right off HWY 180. There is the sound of traffic, but nothing extreme, we couldn't hear it at night in the trailer. There are a couple small towns within 20 minutes to gas up and pick up food if needed. The staff is extremely nice, and the scenery is great. It has a creek right behind the sites and the river is a short walk down the nature trail.
Nice Place at a small river. Quiet
Stayed for 3 nights, could have stayed for 3 weeks. Super nice little park on the kings river. Sites are large, level and covered in grass. The place is really clean and friendly. Lots of renovations going on. New fishing pond was stocked with fish the day I arrived. Connie was very welcoming. I ll be back, it s a very chill spot.
