| Don't stay here

Called and got answering machine. Message said we always have a site. When we got there the only employee was maintenance man he contacted someone by radio, they said they would catch up with us later. Unable to connect to internet, or cable. Maintenance man said he didn't know what to do. He contacted office by radio she did not either. Said she would catch up with me the next day to collect payment. By 10 o'clock the next day we were still waiting to pay instead of traveling like we needed to do. maintenance man attempted contact by radio to no avail. Finally paid maintenance man. He would only accept cash. Got receipt in the form of a notebook piece of paper. No internet no cable just water and sewage $22.50 . What a rip off. should be taken from everyone's website. Ads are misleading to the point of Lies. We are goodsam members and pull travel trailer

Quiet, rustic campground just a couple of miles from the interstate. Friendly and helpful staff. Would stay here again.

| Last minute 4th of July reservations

By user-5799157... on 2017-10-23.

We called on Friday, June 30th, looking for something reasonably close to the beach and found that River's Edge had an availability. We were somewhat confused because the office lady, Cindy, stated that they were saving the site for a rig requiring 50 AMP service. I'm not sure if there is a different price for 50 AMP versus 30 AMP, but we paid $30/night. It is a rustic campground with lots of shade and no paved pads. We had excellent WiFi at our site. It's right on the Yellow River, and hubby liked fishing in the early evening. It's about an hour from the beaches in Destin, but with 4th of July traffic, make that 2 hours. We have really enjoyed our stay, and will probably camp here again.

We enjoyed our short stay in this older and settled park. Large slot for our RV. Yes I would/will return. Also the little diner in Holt, Susie's, was great breakfast

| Awful Bathrooms

By user-4586175... on 2019-08-09.

Stayed 2 nights, quiet and large lots, ours had no sewer. No paved roads, lots of deep sand to try to pull in and out, not fun. Bathrooms were awful....only one was available both men and womens, the other was boarded off. Dirty inside, drains were plugged and water all over the floor. One light inside, actual shower was dark. WIFI was not exisitant even though we were parked right next to the repeater. I would not stay again.

Mostly long term park with some transient sites. Inverted speed bumps. Close to military firing range. Passport America discount. Fine for a short stay.

| Almost a perfect campground

This campground was almost perfect! We called ahead for reservations and used our Passport America discount. We arrived around 4pm and were glad we had reservations because the park had no more open spots. Check in was quick and the office has a small camp store with some basic necessities, fishing supplies, and firewood. They also have propane. They have FHU sites, but our site (#24) was a back-in site with 30 amp and electric. There is a dump station. It was mostly level and sandy. Our spot was great because it was at the end of the "cul-de-sac". The spaces are not uncomfortably close together. We did have a picnic table and fire ring. They do have WiFi, but it was not the greatest. The best reception we got with our Verizon cell service was about 2 bars of 3G! It made it difficult to get any work done. There is a laundry room ($1.50 for each machine). They had a pretty small playground with swings. They did have horseshoes and basketball. The clubhouse had a pool table, TV, puzzles, and books, but it was locked when we tried to check it out. They did offer free coffee in the morning in the clubhouse (which is the only reason we knew what was inside). They allow fishing on the bank and have a small boat launch for guests. The restroom/shower was fairly clean with plenty of hot water. There is only one shower stall and 2 toilets. You can lock the bathhouse door for privacy. We really enjoyed the setting with the big trees and the riverbank. The slow internet and low cell signal was the only downside for us personally. We made a day trip into Navarre Beach and Pensacola Beach. The weather was cool, windy, and overcast but we still enjoyed it.

River's Edge RV campground (Holt, Fl) is awesome! We got in late but were still met with an escort to our spot. Other campers came out to check on us during a difficult back into the last available spot. They invited us to morning coffee from 8-10 am at the clubhouse. Even as short as our spot is here, we met the friendliest, most inviting people! Wish we could stay longer. Swapping stories with long-time fulltimers was so much fun.
