What a great find in Eastern NC. The spaces were wide and relatively level. It was so pretty and quiet there that we wanted to stay. We were visiting family so didn't spend lots of time there but we want to come back rent a canoe and float on the lovely Pungo River.
Stopped while touring coastal N.C. This is a GEM!! Waterfront, beautiful setting, immaculate!! Plenty of over the sir TV and 2 bars of Verizon 4G LTE. Full hookups, grassy, clean,NO DIRT sites. Great owners. You've got to stay and visit Fishhooks cafe in nearby Belhaven. ALL food there is homemade and fresh and delicious. Great prices.
Certainly not fancy but run by wonderful people and is peaceful and well maintained. Directly on the Pungo River. ATT cell is spotty, we had good digital antenna service for tv and the offer free WiFi in the office We booked 10 days but could only stay four. They refunded our entire unused balance. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.
We needed a rest after our 6000 mile trip out west, a let s do nuthin week before the last legs of our trip home to Florida. Well, thanks to RVparky we stumbled on this and decided to camp here a week after only 2 nites and secured the whole week. If ur lookin for a rule intense we will watch everyone and all they do place look elsewhere. This place is composed of many seasonal but respectful people.I am sure if someone got silly the owner would handle it . The site was close to level and on grass I found everything worked well and the owner even had a feed that we didn t attend because of the heat. The only downside is you are in the country and it s quiet if you need something it s a drive but that s it a beautiful campground that s a keeper on our list
On a weekend get away with another couple who had just purchased a travel trailer. Other couple had to leave early due a malfunctioning air conditioner. Campground gave a full refund. We stayed the entire weekend for 25.00 a day. FHU, stable power, clean water with good pressure and sewer hook ups. No wifi and little over the air TV. Extremely quiet campground. Everyone was very nice and personable. Mostly permanent campers with little in/out traffic like us. We had the pick of open sites and got right behind a wonderful oak tree. This isn't a place to spend a week unless you have family in the area or have a boat but for the money you get a well maintained campground, level sites, fhu's and plenty of room. If you are passing through and need a place to stay for a few days, give them a call. Belhaven has some really good restaurants..
