No sign from the main road. Trees need trimmed. Roads need repaired and widen. Only 30 amp power. It is an older park that needs work. Up the road is Melvern Lake and campgrounds that are nice and recommended.
This is a army corps of engineers campground. Good spot if you are just passing through. Only cost $15. It has water and power and a dump station at the entrance.
This Corp of Engineers park is right off of the Neosho river, downstream from the dam. There is no access to the river as there is a very necessary safety fence, so no fishing from here. Some of the sites have a grade that makes them difficult to back into, but the park was clean and well groomed. The showers are large and handicap accessible. The dump station area was clean and functioning appropriately, with east drive through accessibility from two directions.
