Fair at best. The sites are all backing and very close. If you get a river site, people constantly walk through your site to get to river. No public restroom or showers. Dog are is extremely small. Road noise is terrible. Traffic all night long.

| Well kept campground.

Nice place. Everything is well kept. Nice size sites. Some road noise but you are close to so many things. I would definitely stay here again. We stayed here in a 40’ motorhome.

Riverside is a well-managed park. The location is close to a few restaurants, drug store, hospital, etc (roughly 1/2 mile from the park). While we walked to shop and eat a few times, there is no sidewalk and the traffic on Gavilan Canyon Road is heavy. Speaking of heavy traffic, the noise from the road is more or less constant 24/7. In addition, there is a school/community baseball park directly across the street from Riverside. This is a very busy baseball park. I think it is awesome that this park is available for the community. It is also great that kids and parents actively utilize the facility. The downside for Riverside is the noise created by the ball park. It is very loud when games are going on - music, fans yelling, players and coaches talking, etc. Riverside can't control the traffic and ball park noise. Yet, the noise is a strong negative for staying at Riverside. I feel like the rates charged by Riverside are excessive considering the noise issues. There are lots of options for camping in Ruidoso. If you stay at Riverside, you are selecting a convenient location in spite of the excessive noise.
