Many sites have big trees that provide shade (very important for Texas summer). Carol is very nice. Good WiFi. We ended up extending our stay because it's very pleasant here. Clean shower facilities. For $25 (Good Sam rate), it's a great deal compared to prices we found elsewhere in this Hill Country region.
We stayed there in October 2015. Our thought was good access to LBJ stuff. Our site (63) was way in the back on the end which we originally thought would be good. First off there was dog poop in our site that I was going to ask the staff to remove, but my husband did it. Our view was of a grocery store unloading zone with semi trailers. It was too windy to put the awning down to block the view. The office had no real brochures on the area and didn't sell ice. For the money I would head to Stonewall and stay at the park down there.
This park has all the basic utilities needed to comfortably camp. They are in the edge of town, close to LBJ museums. The only negative is that the sites are close together so not really conducive for sitting outside enjoying the scenery. Manager was nice and helpful. We would stay here again to explore the area. We camped in a 5th wheel.
Nice enough park. We stayed one night traveling through. The lady who helped us was very nice and helpful. Would stay again.
Convenient location to area sites and necessities. They should work on where they place the rvs. The sites are pretty tight and they had us park right next to another rv when they could've spaced us for a more comfortable stay. Price was fair and grounds were well kept.
