| Really nice campground, would stay again.

This is a really nice campground, very quite and lots of the sites are secluded. Clean bathrooms and showers. Only electric at the site, up to 50amp. Ours had a water spigot out front. (#255) Some of the sites are paved, as was ours. Lots of shade trees and grass. Very pet friendly. Big fire rings and nice picnic tables. Very large sites. All sites were back in, we were in a 40' motorhome with toad. Could have fit a second car in our driveway it was so long. Water is shared so bring a very long hose. No sewer, but there is a 4 bay dump a couple miles away, near the older campground. There is a marina where you can rent a pontoon boat to cruise the river. There is a nice beach too. Watching a ship pass thru the lock was very interesting, just a couple miles to the visitor center and its double deck viewing platform. You must follow the "registration" signs otherwise you might drive around endlessly. The signage is not great. To get there Go under the Eisenhower lock (13'6") and then take the first left AFTER the big green bridge, then the first right to go up a slight hill and maybe 1000 feet pull into a space in the big parking lots on the right, registration is the center building of the three. There was a while ice cream cone out front.
