Nice place to stay although it can get very busy. We showed up without a reservation and then managed to fit us in. Showers and bathrooms were clean but very institutional.

Nice state park!

We stayed over the 4th of July weekend and had a great time. Although they sent us to the wrong site when we arrived we can overlook an honest mistake. They have beaches, fishing, kayaks, paddle boats, hiking trails and bike trails. There are a variety of different sites from all tents to full sun to full shade. It's a hidden gem in my opinion and worth the $25 - 35/night. We stayed in a 40 foot RV. Only 30 amp service and no water so fill up before you get there. Oh, the bathrooms and shower areas were not top notch but adequate.

A ton of things to do in this beautiful state park. Only drawback we experienced was site #119 was not flat, it took several blocks to make our 35ft RV level. Super busy Labor Day weekend, reservations were a must.

A nice state park in need of some maintenance

The campground loops are varied with RV spots in several and tent-only sites with lake views. The power in site 432 has 50/30/20 amp circuits and my 30amp power tested good. We are here on a Wednesday night and it is quiet. Only negative aspect: the roads inside the park are in serious need of pothole repair.
Verizon far outshines T-mobile or Sprint at my site. V: 90Mbps, T: 1.1Mbps, S: 4.5Mbps
We are here for only one night but there is sufficient interest here that a multi-day stay could be enjoyable.

It's an okay park. We went during the week when it wasn't too busy. The sites are VERY close together. We stayed in the Plum Grove loop and most of the 50 amp sites were very tight and very sloped. They have site numbers on these annoying posts that are awkwardly placed and almost impossible not to hit. We have a 41 foot 5th wheel. This was not the best park.
