Stayed here overnight while traveling I-24. Owner was exceptionally nice and everyone I met was very friendly and welcoming. If you have never considered a nude campground you are missing out. The feeling of freedom an closeness to nature is an extraordinary experience for the soul. It was on my "bucket list" to try it and now having had the experience, can't wait to go back. The facility mainly caters to full-time residents but they do have a few visitor sites. I would recommend calling ahead to make sure they can accommodate you. Site I stayed at was 30amp full hookup which was sufficient - it's amazing how much more heat you can tolerate when not wearing clothes! Pool and bathroom facilities were exceptionally clean - probably cleaner than my house! Nice pavilion with lighted dart boards, tennis courts, horse shoes and hiking trails provided more than adequate entertainment. Kids are welcome but other than the pool, there isn't as much for them to do. This place really caters to the adult crowd. Overall, nice facility, great people, and excellent experience. Admittedly, seeing naked people is a little shocking when you first pull in, but in about 10 minutes you forget about what you and everyone else isn't wearing because no one else cares - you just blend in with the crowd. There are people of all shapes, sizes, colors, abilities/disabilities. I think that was the best part. It was just friendly folks enjoying the outdoors which is what I love about camping in the first place. So, go for it and check this one off your "bucket list!"
My family and I stayed for just one night at Rock Haven. We arrived in an afternoon rain storm and backed our trailer into one of two available full hook up spots. We were greeted by Suzie and immediately felt right at home. We had never experienced anything like Rock Haven before. The freedom of walking around totally exposed had an unexpected effect on our family. There was closeness where we hadn't noticed it before. The feeling of holding my 2 yr old skin to skin connected us and my boys simply adored running and exploring without the burden of clothing. My wife and I are planning a trip back for our family very soon. I can't say enough about the warmth of a village of totally open and kind individuals. Everyone we met offered us help, support, and total trust. What an eye opening and life altering two days. Thank goodness for Rock Haven.
