| Works for me

By user-5852303... on 2017-10-23.

Campground caters more towards work travelers than family vacationers I have a nice level concrete pad to park on and full hookups. I had a choice between two areas in the park and both look decent. There's plenty of green areas to walk a dog if you have one 5-10 minutes from Wal-Mart and plethora of fast food joints And yes the falls are on a timer so they only run from 5:30-10 and weekend, so what. This campground works for me

| Run, don't walk, away

This place is a dump. Unfortunately is is the best of the worst in the area of you are seeking long term stay - my wife is a traveling nurse. Dumpster was overflowing on Friday upon arrival, was emptied at 1:29AM Monday morning. Childs playground equipment covered in mold. Many campsites overloaded with junk cars, boats. After rain place stunk of sewage. No voice/text/data cell service in park, and my wife needed to be on call. We found a much better option in Mt. Vernon (8 miles west) that does not advertise itself as a campground and left after 5 nights - had paid for a month and were refused any refund.

I've been watching this place; I live nearby. I believe I stayed here one night, long, long ago. Back when the "Rocky Falls" were turned on and operating. Now there's no pretending that they once had such an attraction. The price has gone up to $25/night. To see the sign edited with tape, it would suggest that's the only price you can pay. And right now it's FULL of contractors working at Sabic. I asked someone about the place and she didn't know a neighboring campground, Burdette. I have the feeling someone at Sabic suggested the traffic; Burdette's nicer. It *is* on the edge of civilization- snakes, weeds, and such. But it's just-below the level of the highway and it's quiet.
