Great wooded campsites. Only 1 electric loop fills fast.
Well let me just tell you we just returned from our 4th trip for the past 4 years and I enjoy it more and more each year. They have swimming at the lake, you can rent canoes and kayaks. Volleyball nets on the beach. A beautiful new playground for the kids. A huge family site for up to 6 campers with a small cabin and electric hook up. Absolutely love this place, hope to have many more trips to this beautiful state park. Oh and plenty of hiking for the experienced and beginner's out there. Not that I've visited it but there is a casino and a beautiful 18 hole golf course.
We just came back from our second trip there in 3 years. It really is a great park. There's only one electric loop (Ash) and it fills up fast (reserve 8-9 months ahead) but the sites are nicely wooded. There is a bath house with toilets and showers in each loop. In terms of amenities, there is a separate beach area from the day use one for the campground with a small dog beach. There's also nice playground for kids and a nature center. This is just one of our favorite state parks in the MD system.
