Been coming here for a few years, never a bad experience and views you can't afford to buy. Always on our list of places to stay.
Closed due to flooding earlier in 2016. Working to reopen later this year. All parks around Lake had flooding issues. Check with park to verify status.
A favorite for Memorial Day and Labor Day group camping. We have camped in the Beach area, wooded area and lake side sites and been very pleased with each. Must say the lake front sites have a beautiful view of the lake. Staff are friendly and helpful. Every stay has been enjoyable and always look forward to our next camping trip there.
Just stayed overnight but will definitely stay here again! What view of the lake from B12! We showed up with no reservation and the front desk got us checked in to a great space quickly and with a smile!
Not far off Hwy 59. We are only spending one night but I'd be happy to spend a few weeks. Nice spacious sites with water and electric.
Gate attendant was very helpful. We asked to move to a different (more shaded) site. No problem. We stayed one night and enjoyed it very much. Beautiful sunset!
We drove 150 miles to check out this park thinking we would spend some time there in December. All information on the park fails to mention that its closed for maintenance!

Site was difficult to find and get into with our 30 foot travel trailer but so worth staying here as the park is gorgeous and we really enjoyed being here. Wish they would improve the sites here though - so tough to level and my husband had to drive around 3 times to get into the right position to get into the spot the correct way. Well worth the effort though - loved this park and wish we could have stayed longer.
Great trees. On the lake, but there is a rocky barrier to the water (hence the name). One of the nicer COEs I ve seen. Great playground.
