Reviews for Ross Barnett Reservoir / Goshen Springs Campground

Pool closed, wifi out, all the men's restrooms except one locked and it didn't have paper in it. Had to hold the water on with one hand while washing the other. I had to go buy a sewer extension because the sewer was too far away. Overpriced at 24 dollars as compared to other campgrounds in the area.

Beautiful campground with full hookups. Located by a Large lake. Cheap rates! I would definitely stay here again. Big cement pads with lots of space between sites.

Stayed 3 nights in October 2015. Large concrete pads and lots of space between sites. Beautiful area. We will be back.

This park is right next the the Ross Barnett Reservoir and is just a few miles off the Natchez Trace Parkway, so the location was the main reason I chose it. After I arrived, I was very pleased with the park, itself. The office staff was very welcoming and helpful. Since they had several spots available, I could go pick my spot and come back to pay later. The sites were nice and deep and wide, though if the park were completely full, you might feel a little close. All sites are back in, very good condition level concrete slabs and have full hook ups. No problems getting in and around the park in my 35ft Holiday Rambler w toad. I was there in late Fall/winter, so it wasn't super crowded, but this park was so quiet at night. There are enough seasonal people that it feels like a neighborhood, in a good way. I felt very safe and comfortable walking my dog all through the park at night (my gauge of safety). There's a Reservoir Policeman who drives through frequently and all campers were friendly. There's a boat launch right in the park to the Reservoir. The laundry room was clean and not too busy. $1 for wash and $1 for dry. I didn't use park wifi but my Verizon signal was awesome. The only negative is that there's not a sign for the park that you can see from Hwy 43. I missed the turn and had to drive on the narrow 2 lane road that crosses the Reservoir until I could turn around on the Natchez Trace Parkway. So, use your GPS and pay close attention when it says to turn because the entry road is easy to miss.
