This campground was easy to find well marked better than the sites themselves. We stayed in one of the big rig sites which was really nice. Except for the interstate noise that was terrible!!! I wish I could say it was restful but it wasn't. Still we were thankful to have a campground that was open during the winter. The office staff was nice. I bet in the summer this place is gorgeous and we'll be back when our work Brings back to the area. There are lots of sites to see. Fyi if you wrap the water faucet with heater tape you'll have no problems staying hooked up. They offer no discounts on your stay unless you stay a week.
The site that we were at should not even exist , next to parking lot and gravel road with the view of ugly wooden fence and a poorly leveled lot. The staff was excellent and 2 guys helped us back in only to find out the 50 amp service was not working. Eventually it was repaired but for the price of $70 per night we thought this was way too expensive. All in all we were not impressed with this campground as the other sights looked like they needed some work too!
We expected much more than we got. Poorly laid out; many permanent sites with scattered 'stuff' about ; unmowed lawns; our site was right next to the interstate some 100 uhh feet away with constant noise day and night... difficult sleeping with continuous road noise. Best feature: close to Gettysburg Battlefield Visitor Center and the battlefield. Would not stay there again. Nice staff! This park needs serious work to make it appealing to travelers.
Rude!!! They took $26 from me when I had a reservation for only 2 hours. I called to confirm and ask a few more questions as things were not clear online and I wanted to know about my site. They told me to call back in a couple hours because the computer was down. How can I confirm anything with the computer down? Don t waste your time, very bad customer service
