| High altitude camping

This park was in a beautiful location. The restrooms were clean and the staff friendly. The extra recreational activities could use some paint and sprucing but all in all a nice place. We would go back.

I was given a gravel FHU pull-thru site for my 42' 5th wheel. Needed some blocking to level up the RV. Site had a picnic table, a broken propane grill and a fire ring to use. The bathrooms & laundry look clean and taken care of. I had room to unhook and park perpendicular to the RV. I used my dish for tv and the wi-fi was ok. The park was easy to maneuver in and had some shade trees. A small store is in the office and the staff is friendly. Park is just off Hwy 50 and close to the Royal Gorge. The only bad part of the stay was listening to a dog barking most of the day.

This KOA is unusual in that it is not right next to a heavily traveled road hence it is nice and quiet. The sites are not paved but mostly/somewhat level; bring blocks just in case. It's close to the gorge and town so everything is nearby. Bathrooms are clean and the staff is very nice.
