Reviews for Rusk Depot Campground

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful park, if you go take the time to ride the train. It is quiet, beautiful, and nestled in the woods and we were there on a slow weekend. We heard reports that this will no longer be a state park that will be or has been bought out by private Antique Railroad company from up north. This seems legit as many facilities were in need of repair (bathrooms closed due to flooding/pipe problems; train depots were in rough shape) but overall we would go again.

Nice little campground, we spent two nights and rode the train which was great! The ladies bathhouse needed attending to, lots of spiders/spiderwebs and overflowing trash cans. Not sure how often they are cleaned. Small playground, splash pad for the kids. It was very quiet the days we were there, 4 other RVS in the park. Would stay here again.

This is an old state park that has now gone private. The good...the people are very nice, the park is walking distance from the depot, place was clean, we all loved the train ride. The bad...old park equals small sites and also mostly unlevel, noise from Hwy 84, prices are high.
