| Excellent RV Park

By user-6021669... on 2018-07-06. Stayed 2018-05-13 to 2018-05-20

Carlos and Timothy were incredibly friendly and helpful during my stay. The sites were gravel but level, there is grass between the gravel sites that is well maintained.. The site was large enough to put out my slide and awning with still plenty of room between my neighbors. The main roads are paved, the sites are large enough that you can park in front of or behind your RV. There are gravel roads that lead to parking in front of your RV. Most of the sites are pull through with some back in sites around one side of the campground. There are several dumpsters located around the campground for trash. The showers are large, very clean, there are hooks to hang your towel on and a bench to put your shower gear and clothes on. The laundry room was very clean, there are heavy duty washers ($1.75 per load) and heavy duty dryers ($1.75 per load). There is a change machine, soda machine and snack machine in the laundry room. Between the laundry room and office is a very clean lounge where you can watch TV while you are doing your laundry or just to hang out in. Internet is free and I had no problem streaming Netflix. The campground is about 10 minutes from the George Bush Presidential Library, Texas A&M University and downtown College Station. There is a HUGE variety of restaurants to choose from as well as Wal Mart, Target and many other stores. If you have a big RV, follow Hollman Drive South to North Dowling Street to the campground. If you follow Waze (GPS) like I did it took me through an apartment complex and the turns are sharp with not a lot of extra room to turn. I have a 22 ft TT, and I ended up with my trailer tires going over the curb. My only 2 complaints would be, #1 when you arrive at the campground, there is no designated place to park while you check in. There are lanes painted on the road but they are in the middle of the road and are not very long so the end of your RV is near the main road or blocking the road that runs in front of the office. This would not be good for a large RV or someone towing a car. This is the only reason I gave a 4 star instead of 5 star rating because I felt parking in the middle of the road while I was checking in was a safety issue. #2 There are quite a few people that live here full time and they have dogs that bark all the time when they are left home alone. Not everyone cleans up after their dogs. I found a HUGE pile of dog poop at my site when I arrived. Overall, I would highly recommend RV Haven Park if you are in the College Station area. I would stay there again if I am in the area.

| Beware on reservations.

By user-4884523... on 2019-08-09.

Had a reservation for a 3 night stay. Called a week out to confirm reservation. Arrived at Park and was given a site # and paid the fees. Had to come back to office because an RV was located in the site. Desk Attendant stated that she wasn't sure why so many people where booked and there were no more spots available. She offered for us to take another reserved spot and mentioned telling them she was booked up. We decided to just find another park. When I said that should open it up for somebody else, she said look how many are still coming (while showing me her calendar). Park looked like a lot of full-timers in some older travel trailers anyways, so wasn't what we were looking .
