| Nice stop over
The camp ground is 7 miles from I-70 and is an easy stop over. The 4 MI climb to the camp ground passes through two tunnels that say the clearance is 10'6" but we are 11'2"" and had no problems. The sites are rolling and some would be difficult to get level on. There are three loops with 80 sites, only one loop is reservable and one loop is for vehicles 20' or less and no generators. Generators are allowed on the other two loops 8am until 8pm. Camp sites are $20 and half price for seniors with AB senior pass.
| Great place for overnight
We stayed here overnight while visiting the NM. Our site was a pull through and not level but there were other sites that seemed like they might have been better. Sites are spacious and we had no problem finding a site even without a reservation, although the campground was almost full by the end of the day. Facilities were clean.
