| Nice basic park

Stayed here for one night to visit some friends. It is a barebones park with few amenities. While the surrounding area is very wooded, the pull through sites are on an open area. Sites are packed sand and very large with an absolutely gorgeous view of Sagadahoc Bay. Cell coverage is sketchy. No problem connecting using my Directv antenna. Site 21 may have the best view.

Ocean front site with water and electric. Owners/operators very friendly. Fresh lobster delivered to your site cooked or uncooked. Steamer soft shell clam digging in the bay with $26 10 day permit. Tools and pots available at campground office. Office also has pass to Reid State beach for free. Kayaking and exploring in the bay kept our kids busy for days. Great place to stay just not many amenities. Will be back to enjoy coastal Maine.

If I'm ever in the area again, this is where I'm staying. It's not a resort. No pool, no playground for kids. But it's so peaceful. It' way off the main road so there is no traffic noise. The area for RV's is large but the number of sites is small (10-14). So there is lots of room. We have a view of the bay and were able to watch the tide go in and out every day. The owners are real nice. We even had their dogs greet us as we pulled into the park. And, the owners will order lobster for you from a local store and deliver it to your campsite. Cooked or still kicking...for just about boat price. I had lobsters 2 of the nights we were there. 3 each day for $8.50/lb.
