| Huge State park with much to do

By user-5829659... on 2017-10-23.

We camp at Salt Fork a couple times per year. The park is huge. There is a very nice lodge and golf course if that is your taste. We camp out there. The camp ground is very spread out and not crowded. All camp sites are paved and have electric. There are some with full hookups too. There are full bathrooms through out the campground. The lake is very large and excellent for boating and fishing. There is even water skiing and many miles of hiking trails. You can hunt too depending on the season. And many come here to look for Big Foot. Salt Fork is a place you need to check out.

| Could use some updating

This is a wonderful park with very nice sites. They were laid out with the RVer in mind. Very easy to back into. The facilities at this park are very outdated and were not very clean. The store was small, and the nature center was a joke, but the beach was nice and the water was clean to swim in.

Great experience. Beautiful park, with lots to do. Very family oriented. Large spaces, maintained well. Just FYI, it is remote to area restaurants and other attractions, so plan accordingly. Just sad it is not closer to NC.
