| GREAT CAMPGROUND

The only con would be poor wi-fi. Spacious sites full hook ups, very nice people. Was apprehensive after reading some of the reviews but no problems at all. We have a 40 ft 5th wheel and lots of trees so we can't put our awining out, but other than that it is a wonderful campground

After reading these reviews I was a little hesitant to try Salt Springs.. But let me tell you.. It was wonderful! Checkin was easy and smooth, the staff is extremely courteous and sweet! We had spot #4 it was great, little bit of shade from the trees and all around nice. We checked out the rest of the sites and they all looked great. Is there "privacy"... No it's like every other park and campgrounds in Florida.. So let's get real folks; it's a campgrounds.. If you want privacy... Go boondocks in the woods solo. Otherwise we loved this and plan to go again! We also visited the springs while there; very enjoyable and fun!! Pack your snorkels & goggles so you don't miss how neat they are!!

Great big campground. Not really any privacy, it's all open. Facilities were "ok" not the cleanest. The woman's showers have a push button that last MAYBE 5 seconds. Which sucked!! Friendly staff. The springs were the highlight of the visit. Absolutely beautiful and refreshing. We stayed on site 92 it was a great big spot with lots of grass. We would come back. Stayed for 3 days.

Level paved sites with full hookups and lots of shade trees. Grill and fire pits at each site. Good hiking trails and the springs are beautiful. Note there is no shade on sites 57, 58. Restrooms and showers were clean, campground well maintained. No cell service, no wifi except at the gate/office.

| Terrific campground

Wide campsites. Lots of shade. Sewer pipe is inside a sink, never found anywhere else. Makes for very clean area. Wildlife-deer, turkeys and fish in the 72°F springs. Great snorkeling. Golden Senior Pass rates apply.

Had a great time nice campground. Will camp again site 27 can be a pain to back in due to a bridge over the creek

Awesome park! No Wi-Fi or cable but the springs, fire rings and natural beauty around you will make you not miss those! Park is clean and well maintained. There are grills and tables available at each site as well as down by the springs. Highly recommend this park for getaways. Some want to use it long term, which it could be, but not recommended.

| LOVE THIS PLACE !!!

What a naturally beautiful place this is !! I am so glad they are finally cracking down on the campers who want to disobey rules that are there to protect Florida's fragile eco-system.This is a national forest campground, not a commercial, for profit only run park. I have conversed with the employees and management and have found them to be friendly but firm on the U.S. Forest Service rules. Kudoes to them for standing their ground ! I suggest making reservations early as they are constantly and continually busy.My family had the great honor of seeing a mother black bear with her two adorable cubs !! doesn't get much better than that. Also don't miss out on a dip in the clear, cool springs !! If you want a good family experience that teaches our children the importance of wildlife & protecting our state of Florida ..... then this is the place for you.

We were here 5 nights the Campground was clean the staff was friendly and courteous they did seem to enforce the rules but were not overbearing no WiFi in the park but was available at the office we didn't use the WiFi nor did we use the bath facilities paved sites mostly spacious sites some more shaded than others 50 amp electric water and sewer hookups were conveniently located some sites were tight with trees not many site 27 is tight to get into because of the bridge. We loved the park and the springs was great too We stayed here in a 39' 5th wheel

| Fantastic Recreation Area and campground

We really hadn't planned on staying as long as we did, but after arriving and seeing the place, it was a "no brainer". With full hook up at every site, paved roads and sites, the spring, and some great local eateries, we just had to extend our stay. It's run by American Land and Leisure, and although I had some issues with the rules THEY chose to enforce, it was still a great place to camp. We made it a stop on our way back north it was so nice. The rate is great if you have America The Beautiful pass.

| A gem in the Ocala National Forest.

Who knew that there was a National Forest Campground with such a nice RV park. Clean, large and level with concrete parking pads. Bathhouses with showers. A beautiful springs picnic and swimming area, Boat launch, fishing creek and nature trail. Beautiful area and close to Juniper Springs for the 7 mile Canoe/Kayak run. Came expecting to stay 4 nights and stayed 11. It was the closest we could get to St. Augustine without paying an arm and a leg during Spring Break. With National Park Senior Access Pass it was $19.50 a night. Beware website shows all walk up sites available. When we arrived at 12:30 on Friday, there were only 2 sites left. Be aware there are ticks on the area. Check yourself after hiking .

Spotty phone signal and no Wi-Fi unless you go to office but super clean and a great place to relax. Would recommend highly.

| Clean, crowded, no privacy. But beautiful.

Salt Springs is a beautiful spring to visit. We saw some huge blue crabs (see video below) and even a stingray and a shark in the fishing canal. This spring is very popular, so expect it to be crowded, especially on the weekends. While we really enjoyed the beauty of the springs, and of the Ocala National Forest, the campground was crowded (155 sites), and not as private as we d like. There are a lot of bugs (mosquitoes, ticks, and yellow flies during the time we were there). It s a mixed bag at this park. And it s also out in the middle of nowhere, with spotty cell signal, and very few options for groceries. CoxFamilyTravels
