| Absolutely Great

As an extra driver in a cargo van I I couldn't ask for more. 36 bucks a night, gated, camera security, very well kept property. Exceptionally clean showers, electric water included in the price. Staff here is awesome very very hospitable. will absolutely come back again!!

| Stay away during Easter.

What a disaster. The cabin area made animal house seam tame. Must have been 200 drunk people screaming 5 to 6 hours after quiet hours. Trashed the whole camp with trash, beer bottles and god knows what else.

| Nice

Expensive but clean. Near tourist attractions. No wifi and TV connections not good. People are pleasant. .

| Nice place to stay

By user-5810941... on 2018-06-27.

It's a big park. Very good on security has a coded gate. We got there at 1am and the night shift person open the gate for us.. some sites are very close to each other..the Wi-Fi sucks.. river walk about 15-20min away.. But over all if your staying for a night or two it's a good place. At least for us. Paid 44 bucks a night

| Not bad at all

By user-4890328... on 2018-06-27.

We have stayed here twice now for dog shows being held at AT&T Center. It is not a good part of town but it is gated and fenced and I saw police officers patrolling the grounds. Internet was down one day on our first trip and up the second trip and when up service was good. Park was well run, everyone was friendly and helpful. Other guests were nice. We will stay here again. We stayed here in a 40ft motorhome.

| Ok for area of town

By user-4968216... on 2018-06-27.

Terrible internet, rock pads, gated in bad area of town, very helpful staff, very quiet in the middle of the night after the four gun shots in the distance about 10:30.

This was our first trip to San Antonio and we had a blast! Clean bathrooms and friendly staff but it was kind of tight. Sewer hook up was a foot away from picnic table. They had a lot of tent campers mixed in with the bigger campers. It was 4th of July weekend so I guess they were just trying to fit everyone. The Riverwalk is a must see!

| Quiet and Clean

By user-5779477... on 2018-06-27.

We stayed the week of Thanksgiving. Great bike trails, plenty of space between rigs, security made us feel safe, and easy to get downtown on the bus. Too many trees for us. Squirrels were dropping pecans on our rig non stop. Make sure to ask for no trees in the fall.

Great location with easy access to downtown. One recommendation if you stay here during the summer months, request a site that has afternoon shade. The Aug heat in SA is intense and our first few days here our site (D8) had morning shade, but not in the afternoon. We were cooking by 5pm, even with the a/c going and multiple fans running. We moved to a super shady site (F10) and it made a world of difference. Our coach stayed in the 70s all day long. The Salado trail runs next to the park and is a great place to walk dogs and ride bikes. Have bug spray ready! The Chuckwagon breakfasts were delicious! Definitely try the pancakes. All employees were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again!

Everything was very clean, particularly the restrooms and showers. Staff was very helpful, as we are still new to rving; and the park very quiet the entire weekend. Gated access was working and had free wi-fi.

| Super nice

By user-5802540... on 2018-06-27.

Location is only a few miles from SA., but this KOA is secure. Iron gates all around and a gate code for campers. Clean, decent space size and friendly staff. They won the KOA 2015 camp of the year.

| Airstreamers at KOA?

By user-5891111... on 2018-06-27. Stayed 2014-10-22 to 2014-10-25

You know the drill. Most Airstreamers don't DO the KOA to often. This one is the exception. Nice big park with a gated entry. Gleeful staff. Good selection of amenities, i.e., if you don't need a full hookup you can elect a more modest site and pay less. We'll be back.

| Our second time here

By user-5770646... on 2018-06-27.

Security is good. Both times we were near open grass bordering on Salado Creek Trail. Great for dog walking and everyone seemed to pick up. We stayed in April 2014 and October 2016. 36' motor home with dinghy car. If we return to San Antonio we'll stay here again.

| Very good place

By user-5892642... on 2018-06-27.

We came for one night but stayed two. Yes, it's not in a great part of town but security is great and we always felt safe. The staff are really helpful and helped us in many ways. Through their instruction we could catch city buses in expensively to and from downtown right outside the camp. Quiet too and clean. We would definitely stay again.

| Nice park.

By user-5010297... on 2018-06-27.

Stayed here 2 nights after staying down the street at the Riverwalk for 3. Very glad that we moved to the KOA. Much quieter much cleaner the roads were wide and easy to maneuver the sights Word level and clean. Facilities were there and easy to get to. The staff was super nice and super helpful. The city bus picks up right outside the entrance to take you down to the river walk and the Alamo so you don't have to drive. They have a little cafe we can get really good breakfast very inexpensive. This would definitely be my choice in San Antonio.

| Very Nice

By user-6633350... on 2018-06-27.

Stayed here 4 nights. Very clean and well run KOA. All the staff we met were very polite and helpful. They have a chuck wagon serving a very reasonable breakfast with free coffee every morning. We stayed in a Class A motorhome Pads were roomy and mostly level. It’s also located close to all the sites and a city bus picks up right outside the gate. Would have given 5 stars but water pressure wasn’t great and WiFi was so so. There is some highway noise, but not bad. Would definitely stay again.

Very nice Campground. Very nice shop with very nice people. I have a 43 foot Pusher and a 18 ft trailer. When I made reservations it is they made it sound like it was not a problem. I had enough space for full hookups. When I got there they said there was a rodeo in town and next thing I knew I didn't have full hookup. It took me to a spot in the corner of the campground and told me to stay there. They had Water and Electric. It was on an uneven dirt Hill. No gravel and no concrete. They put me in a spot that look like was not even a spot.

| Great spot.

| Next to Greenway

By user-5852053... on 2018-06-27. Stayed 2018-02-25 to 2018-02-28

Nice campground, average size spots with table, gravel, flat, next to greenway along a stream with paved trail. Plenty of trash cans available. Check in was quick & efficient. On bus route to Riverwalk.

| One of the best parks, but the Wi-Fi sucks.

By user-5794086... on 2018-06-27. Stayed 2018-03-21 to 2018-03-23

The title says it all. Very nice park with super restrooms, a poll , very nice sites and helpful staff. The Wi-FI, however, is another story. It was very slow and connections dropped frequently. I finally gave up and used the "hot spot" feature on my cell phone. I suspect they just do not have enough bandwidth for the number of sites. Really too bad because it detracts from an otherwise 5 star experience. Wi-FI today should offer reasonable performance and excellent stability.

| Great stay!

By user-5873627... on 2018-06-27.

Excellent campground everything we need at a very reasonable rate. So convenient to bus stop to go downtown. Site is perfectly level, clean, big, and easy to get into. Will definitely stay here again.

Had a great time. Nice clean facility! They have pizza and wings you can order on site which is great when you pull in after a long drive. Very friendly at the office and informative. Had an issue with our KOA membership card and they fixed it right away. Close to down town to see all the attractions. Will defiantly stay again if in the area. Highly recommend.

| Nice place close to town

By user-6247286... on 2018-07-06.

As a whole, the kampground is great. The internet worked well, the dog park is fenced with poopy bags provided. Staff is very friendly. The spaces are level with gravel. THEY ARE TOO CLOSE TOGETHER! Slide outs encroach the neighbor and some spaces a bicycle couldn’t go between. They have a quick order restaurant and the food is good served with a smile. Didn’t use the pool but I noticed it looked clean. Would probably stay again if I’m the area again.

| Great KOA!!!

We stopped for 2 nites on our way West. It’s a very nice place.....everything so clean! Staff very pleasant and helpful. We discovered the city bus stops just outside the campground, and you can go all over town. We each spent $1.30 and rode downtown to have dinner at the top of The Tower of the America’s. It’s a Landry’s Restaurant (The Chart House) and enjoyed the beautiful 360 degree view of the San Antonio skyline and beyond. Walked back over to the bus stop, got back on (another $1.30) and rode back to the KOA. The next day we bought an all day bus pass ($2.65) and went all over the place. The Riverwalk for lunch and shopping, El Mercado Mexican Market, back to the downtown area and back to the KOA! It was great fun.

| Really Nice Campground

By user-5326444... on 2018-07-06. Stayed 2018-06-02 to 2018-06-05

Even though there is city all around it, with all the trees and squirrels around it feels like your out in the woods. They have entertainment and activities on the weekend. They have breakfast every morning. It is close to the sites downtown. Not sure what the some of the other reviewers meant by sites too close to each other. We were in a pull through site that had loads of space between us and the others on both sides. Nice staff. Would definitely stay again.

Having lived in San Antonio for 5 years had me concerned with the location (next to ATT center/sAMCWhen we arrived we felt as though we arrived in an upscale neighborhood. Fenced with 24 hr patrols and no interstate noise. Very surprised will return. Clean and new facilities.

| Fantastic KOA

By user-4530093... on 2019-08-09. Stayed 2018-10-09 to 2018-10-12

We absolutely loved this KOA and will return. Very close to town, clean sites, great staff, and a fun pool and playground for kids. Only reason we didn't give it five stars is WiFi is terrible and cable is not very good.

| Nice CG but for a couple of things

By user-5729521... on 2019-08-09.

The sites are roomy, level and shady. The staff are friendly, informative and helpful. There is a bus stop at the entrance for an inexpensive fare to get downtown. We were told that parking and eats were expensive down there. Now the two other things: the CG is in a cra--y part of town. It is nowhere you want to drive around in after dark. To say nothing of all the awful traffic getting to the CG and leaving. The other thing is Management's "nose in the air" attitude. She shouldn't interact with guests when she acts like doing so is beneath her. The staff are nice to be around, she isn't.

| Great for families

We decided to come to San Antonio for spring break from CO for the warm weather. We were a bit nervous before arriving because of the area of town it s in, but what a pleasant surprise when we arrived. It s a gated oasis. We never had any issues and it was great for our kids, both 2 and 4 legged! They have a great play area for the kids and a huge fenced dog area too. When I would be out walking the dogs I noticed the crew was constantly doing work around the park. Painting, planting trees, getting flower beds cleaned up, picking up trash, etc. My only complaint would have to be how expensive the laundry was. $2 for a small load in the washer and $1.50 for 45 min in the dryer. Not sure what the typical rate is but that seemed high. The pool area was really nice too, but the water was still cold for this time of year for me!!

| Best ever

Best site we ve been to so far! Amazing park, great location (close to Riverwalk and Alamo). The staff are awesome. They have pizza and wings delivery, free coffee, breakfast menu and Friday movies for the kids as well as live music. Laundry facilities were super clean. Just Amazing!

Lots of trees and nature. It s been raining here like crazy, so that has created issues outside of the parks control. Expensive, as most KOAs are, but this one is well run

First of all the camp hosts all were delightful. But the park sites varied. We were in a gravel site . The patio was brick trimmed out with rotted 4×4's. The picnic table had rotted boards also! No firepit! Although some sites did have them. I asked why and the lady said you have to request them! Who knew? Kind of disappointment !
