| Nice Park, Good Location

Spent a week here and this is a clean, nice park. Lots to do for kids and a convenient location for sightseeing, the highway, dining and shopping. Like the gate requiring a passcode at night. Gets busy and crowded on the weekend. The dog walk is on the edge of the park.

This was the worst place we stayed on our trip. The park is located between highways. Although I can't complain about highway-related noise there were some really noisy guests... the neighborhood is not one to go and see and do stuff there, so we only had a short walk and stayed in the Rv park for the rest of the evening. The amenities were similarly not compelling. The men's bathroom seemed to not have been cleaned for days and the womens bathroom showed some kind of skid marks on the wall above the diaper pail.

Stayed here in mid April 2018, with a 42 fifth wheel, and was in Space 8007 (50 amp/FHU). If your planning a trip to the San Diego area this is a great place to stay. Easy to make reservations, easy check-in on arrival, super pleasant front desk staff, nice park layout with mature trees that seem to be cut back to a good height, all paved roads and site pads (with the exception of the overflow parking in the back), roads are tight but acceptable for even a big rig like ours and gated with keypad but even without that we felt safe and secure. Like all KOAs we ve been to there s extra amenities such as a pool (with a awesome new one opening soon), bike rental, jump pillows, rock climbing wall, cafe and store, dog park and a fire pits. Depending on the traffic it s a very short drive to the San Diego Zoo, USS Midway Museum, Petco Park as well as Tijuana if you have the desire, as well as many other sights in the area. All I can say, is have a good GPS system and be comfortable with big city traffic.

| Nice place but the people are definitely messed up

By user-6112160... on 2019-08-09.

I stayed there for over a week. When I called to check up on my reservation 2 days before I got there they said that they cancelled my reservation because they accidentally put it in the system for the month before. So they gave my spot away. When I was on the phone they went ahead and move some things around and got me another spot. When I got there we found out that they were trying to give us a 30 amp spot when we have a big rig. Then they move things around again and double assigned some other spot. They kept on saying that they were messed up because there's a lots of training going on. Then one day somebody came knocking on my door at 10 a.m.... Hours before check out... Said that the the people who have the spot after me or here. I told them that I'm not even checking out that day. I'm checking out in two more days... Everybody just seems so confused there. They knew that they were messing up my reservations... So they told me they were going to give me some free firewood. It never came. I had to go up to the office and ask them about it and they finally brought it the night before I left. Even if they are doing lots of training... Maybe it's the management that needs blamed because the training obviously is not that good. It is a very nice facility. They have things for kids and they have a nice pool and hot tub. But still. They need to get their heads out of their Ying Yang's and quit screwing things up because it did nothing on our stay but cause headaches.
