Reviews for San Francisco RV Resort

| $80 parking lot.

Skip this expensive parking lot. No place to sit outside. All rvs are packed like sardines. Terrible place. A joke.

Nothing special, very expansive. But it's close to Sf. Nice ocean view. Sites are small.

| Tight not big rig friendly

Nice place and clean. Good people but the sites where built 30 years ago and today's RV ' S don't fit. For the price you should get more room.

| Noisy next to busy highway

By user-5782484... on 2017-10-23. Stayed 2015-08-28 to 2015-08-29

Although it is located by the ocean, it also has a busy highway on the other side. Hard to sleep at night with all the highway noise.

| Better than a parking lot

So, yes, it's tight. It's a glorified parking lot but one that looks out at the ocean. You can walk three blocks to a stroll on the beach with your dogs. Two blocks to great food shopping and dining. A quick walk to a bus line and you can visit SF which is nearly the most expensive city in the country so of course the RV park isn't cheap. They have a nice clean laundry, adequate showers and rest rooms. The pool and hot tub could use some ambiance; it's a shame one can't really see the sun set from there. But a hot tub is always a good thing. And go grab your free cup of bad coffee each morning.

| Price is high, but it is almost in San Francisco

By user-5851586... on 2017-10-23.

Everything is expensive in San Francisco, so this RV park also is. We don't have a car so it took $8 for Park and Ride the rv in SF, $6 for each person Bart train from there to SF, $15 each person for Munich Day Pass (SF mta) => total: $6 + x * $21. WiFi is very slow in the evening, but somehow works. Spots are pretty tight, but ok. Hook-ups are on alternating sides, so you me may have to put your cables underneath your vehicle. But awesome view / location. Waves crushing sounds all day and all night, but very loud trucks from hwy1 can be heard sometimes. Good rv store with plenty of rv stuff. Nice and helpful staff. We felt comfortable.

| Beautiful view

Love the ocean view, but is a very noisy site. Very close the highway.

I wish I had know about this app before I booked this place. The online advertisement is false or misleading at best. It a simple a parking lot with as many cramped in as possible. The "amazing view" I was promised is the ocean behind a 6 foot tall chain linked fence. There is no access to a trial to the beach as advertised. Also after promising my 5 year old time in the pool after a day of traveling, we got here and it is closed as is the hot tub and neither can be used during our stay. So we went with option #2 - the playground. Guess what - roped off and can't be used either. I can't believe I paid $95 for this. If I could get my money back and leave, I would. And pay for wifi if you want it at your site. Ridiculous. Do not waste your money on this place! Drive elsewhere.

| Big Parking Lot

By user-5905627... on 2017-10-23.

It may be the best spot to visit San Francisco for RVers but it really is nothing more then a big parking lot. With a pool & a hot tub. Slots are the smallest (for my pull thru) that I ever experienced. I'm 34" with a car trailer...no room for even a table, your slide outs are less then 1 foot away from your neighbors. They have ALOT of permeant stayers and they are crude at best. Aside from K, staff is stuffy. When I approached one staff "E"early one morning with a question (I am not a pain and had not talked to any staffer in 2 days) I was told before I said a word "this better not be about a problem, I have had enough of those already this morning". It was only 9:30! If you can find some place else to stay do it.

Beautiful views. Close to shopping, restaurants, nail salon, pharmacy, bakeries etc... Bonus points for public transportation. Be ready to park in a very tight site. If you're in an A Class hook ups won't be on driver side for ocean views, so be prepared to run your lines under your rig.

| Awful and they charge for dumping too!

By user-5796162... on 2017-10-23.

This is an awful parking lot space that's it! There is no privacy and noting to do. Over priced parking lot

| No choice

By user-5020585... on 2017-10-23.

If you want to stay near SF, this is the only game in town. Older facility with crumbling hookups, and now they charge for WiFi in the lot. I'm sure they're not spending money on it because it's crumbling into the sea. Crowded and very tight. Too many full timers now which tend to junk up the place ... but oh, what a view!

| Reliable but often crowded

By user-5901184... on 2017-10-23.

The price at SF RV Resort is prohibitively high and that contributes to negative reviews. Overall the sites are crammed tightly together, but there is still enough room to get a multiple slideout RV into all the spaces. Mostly the sites are level and do remind one of a large parking lot. Unfortunately the premium ocean view sites have eroded away and this adds to the cramping as large motorhomes try to park in adjusted spaces. This makes exiting and entering the north side of the park a real challenge. Since there are really very few other RV parks in the area, SF RV resort is the best choice if visiting the San Francisco area is your ultimate goal. The two other RV parks are really non-choices. You take your life in your hands at the place near Candlestick Park. On the plus side, the pool and spa at SF RV resort are well maintained. The Wi-Fi is excellent. The cable TV reception is marginally acceptable.

| Way too expensive

By user-5826833... on 2017-10-23.

Park has no charm, but is ok. No wifi!! I'd have given 1 more star for every 10 dollars less on the bill.

| Amazing Location but windy!

By user-6310935... on 2018-05-17. Stayed 2018-02-13 to 2018-02-17

We really enjoyed this park. Especially the proximity to San Francisco. It's a quick train ride into the city and is located near shops and restaurants. It can get very windy, the laundry is a little pricey and the sites are very close together. Otherwise it had everything we needed. A great location, clean bath houses, free wifi in the country store and pay as you go wifi at the sites. Good amenities like a children's park, pic-nic tables, a pool, and a jacuzzi. The staff was friendly and helpful too. We would definitely stay here again. If you end up booking this campground be sure to check out Half Moon Bay which is a quick drive down the road from the campground.

| Good location, pricey

An absolutely beautiful RV park. The location is amazing. The price is very high but there are not a lot of good options with better location in San Francisco. The sites are VERY close together but nice and long. The security is great, the restrooms were clean and the kids enjoyed the pool for short swims. We saw whales almost everyday and enjoyed the 1/2 mile walk to the beach. While we would probably not stay here again just because of the cost it was pretty amazing being so close to a Bart station and the ocean.

| NICE PARK JUST TO PARK IT

By user-5048705... on 2019-08-09.

We were visiting family and seeing SF. We have cats and it was a safe place for them to be alone. Beautiful ocean view and close to food, has, etc. But pricey.

| Close to San Fran

We liked the ease is getting into the city for a RV park, however there is beach erosion and a pretty ugly fence keeping you back. Not amazing and not terrible.
