| Not Bad

By user-6621325... on 2017-10-23.

This is not a bad place if you want to be close to the national park. They do have electric hook-ups, pay showers and a laundry (I think). Pull thru spaces were available. No trees but covered tables were at each spot. The NP itself has small spaces and no hook ups, showers or laundry. So this may be a better choice for some. It was $31 per night.

Close to the Sand Dunes National Park. Sites with views of the lake. Electric only or it would be 5 star.

| Almost Boondocking!

This is a former state park that is now a wildlife area. Electric only, nothing else available...but what a place to be! Open vistas 360 degrees to the mountain ranges. We stayed in #2, a pull-thru spot, with a motorhome and toad. You will need to bring in lots of water for your stay. Reservations are made through Reserve America plus you will need to purchase an annual pass...for each person..from the State of Colorado. We picked ours up through a local office. The three star rating is mostly for the views, the views, and the views! We will be back!
